Yesterday, EA Sports revealed a new tool coming to FIFA 21 with the next game update. FIFA Playtime is the new feature that allows players to track their time spent while playing the game as well as how much game’s virtual currency you’ve purchased in the process.

This is how EA Sports describe their new feature:

“FIFA Playtime is a new suite of tools that enable players to have more control and visibility over how they play and can be accessed through the main menu, FUT, and VOLTA FOOTBALL.”

‘More control and visibility” means that FIFA 21 will let players track how much time they spend in-game, and set limits on the number of games they play, how many FIFA points they can purchase, and the number of packs that can be opened with FUT coins or FUT points. The idea behind this change is to help parents monitor their child’s activity in-game, or in our case, scare us to death on how much we’re spending on FIFA 21 in order to collect all the FUT players we want to see in our squad.

In any case, it’s still a handy addition even if the money spent on a game doesn’t bother you. We always wanted to have more statistics and EA Sports delivered. FIFA Playtime won’t be the only new thing coming to the game with the new update. If you’re interested to see other changes, be sure to click this link and check out the full patch notes.
