After months of rumors and speculation, Activision finally confirmed that we’re getting yet another set of classic remade for the current generation PCs and consoles. As the title of this article suggests, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 will re-debut on September 4th, 2020. The game should be available to play on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

While the gameplay of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater will stay the same, the new releases promise a lot of graphical and technical improvements. According to the information, fans can expect much higher framerate and an option to skate around in 4K resolution.

Another thing that’s worth a mention is the new multiplayer addition. Back in a day, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater wasn’t known for its cutting edge multiplayer modes, but Activision said that these new modes will be a big focus in remakes.

We would also love to point out the studio which is working in these remakes. According to Activision, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remasters are being developed by Vicarious Visions. If you wonder where have you heard that name, you should know that the same studio recently worked on Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled. Both of these games were a success and that might be the reason Activision chose Vicarious Visions to do good by two of the best extreme sports games in history.

We hope to learn more about these games as the launch date gets closer.
