If you’re playing Anthem you’ve definitely seen Ben Irving, lead producer of the game. He was a regular face on Anthem developer’s live streams and a spokesperson at various gaming events across the globe. “Was” is the keyword here, since Ben Irving announced his departure from BioWare in a recent Tweet.

In 2011, Ben Irving became the lead producer for Star Wars: The Old Republic game. Later, in 2017, he joined Anthem team and was working there ever since. In his farewell he stated:

“I will forever be grateful to all the people who gave me the chance to work on great products with amazing people. I believe Anthem has a bright future – there is a great team working on it and I look forward to following its progress (and playing it!) from the sidelines.”

The news about Ben’s departure comes right after the launch of the first major Anthem’s content update called Cataclysm, so it’s really unclear what the future holds for the game without its lead producer. It’s also not clear what will Ben do after his departure, but he closed his Twitter with a statement that he’s moving on to an “exciting opportunity at another gaming company”.
