Hello there our dungeon raiding fellows, today is a beautiful day, no matter the universe in which you quest! Today we’ve gathered for a serious reason indeed. Today is the day we talk about one of the most gratifying, rewarding, immersive, and time-soaking game genre of them all, today is the day when the very best MMORPGs have their spotlight on our recommendation list! Prepare yourselves, for if your beloved realm got left unmentioned, that doesn’t conclude it false, on the contrary, such fact could only mean that your in-game experience just far surpassed that of ours.

Each of the best MMORPGs listed (as well as not) on our recommendation listing builds an immeasurable world, pulsating and breathing with yet unseen adventures and the amazing heroes living and bursting in it with the unlimited potential power! These games present such levels of excitement, immersion, and companionship that most other genres’ titles could only imagine. Best MMORPGs are not of the kind where you just play through them and then walk along to yet another wonderful piece, oh no… Massively Multiplayer Role-playing Games are those that you can call a definitive experience which stays with you for a lifetime.

Even though we hear such talks as ‘MMORPGs are dying’, in our humblest of opinion, such viewpoint is as far from reality as it can physically (or in this case, digitally) get! The best MMORPGs continue to expand on their environments, their lore, their mechanics, and their player base. Such games like World of Warcraft or Elder Scrolls Online have lore so deep and detailed that in a sense it could compare to that of our own History! The environments that the best MMORPGs carry within themselves are also worthy of mentioning. That’s about it for the introductory part, time to explore!

The Elder Scrolls Online

The first on our best MMORPG recommendation list is ZeniMax Online Studios creation, The Elder Scrolls Online. As are other games in The Elder Scrolls franchise, this particular piece is set in the magical continent of Tamriel. If you’re a fan of the franchise and are still in question on whether to try the game, we can answer it straight forward: stop reading this and download it! The game’s storyline is indirectly related to other games of the franchise; however, the game is set way far back before the events of such titles as Oblivion, or Skyrim. Currently one of the best MMORPGs has two purchasable expansions: The Morrowind and the Summerset, however, the developers have promised a third expansion which will finally introduce DRAGONS! The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr is coming out on June 4, 2019, and we can’t bloody wait!

Guild Wars 2

When it comes to our recommended best MMORPGs, Guild Wars 2 certainly deserves a spotlight. Developed by ArenaNet more than six years ago, this captivating world is booming with life, adventure, and challenge. Guild Wars 2 is an attractive piece because of its ever-living world structure which captivates players with multiple quests, continuing storyline, and rewarding gameplay mechanics. The game is also considered among the best MMORPGs because of its freedom and versatility when it comes to personalization. You can literally create, augment, and specialize your character in such a way that it would be exceptionally unique to your preferred playstyle. So far, the game has released two purchasable expansions: Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire, but you can also purchase special gems which can further increase your experience (mostly cosmetic-wise).

Destiny 2

We could argue for days on whether it’s one of the best MMORPGs, or if it’s an MMORPG at all, however, why argue when we can play. And when it comes to playing, Destiny 2 certainly delivers! The game was released back in 2017 and it offers an amazing campaign, some really challenging raids which require some extreme cooperation in-between the players, furthermore, there’re plenty of individual planetary zones to traverse through! While it’s not an entirely open-world experience and is rather based on connected instances, there’s plenty of personal freedom to choose your path and challenges in the given environments. It’s true that Destiny 2 has had some rough time during the past year, however, Destiny 2: Forsaken pack has revitalized and increased the quality of the game tenfold!

Best MMORPGs and World Of Warcraft

If you have been following our blog lately, you should know what we think about this title by Blizzard Entertainment. If by any chance you’ve just stumbled upon our blog for the very first time, we can only repeat what we’ve already written on World of Warcraft. It’s one of the best games in the entirety of games ever, and that’s period. The game has literally created tens of millions of stories and changed countless lives throughout its respected time of existence. The game is as vast and immersive as the MMORPG genre can get, and frankly, it’s still expanding its borders, both quality and content wise. As far as best MMORPGs go, WoW is the uncrowned king of the pack, and it’s hard to even predict what would it take to uncrown it at this point. Currently, World of Warcraft is at its seventh expansion, Battle for Azeroth, and we do recommend it whole-heartedly!

RuneScape

It’s the last pick in our best MMORPG recommendation list, but that doesn’t mean anything as we don’t rate any of our mentioned picks by their position. RuneScape is definitely the oldest of the best MMORPGs listed above, however, it carries the very same explorer’s spirit within. There is not a single gamer (as far as the older generation is concerned) who hasn’t heard about this adventurous piece before. Do you remember the Wilderness and how endearing the thought of entering It was back in the day? We certainly do, we also remember the wood chopping, fire making, and fishing activities which required hours upon hours of discipline, and we also remember how much joy did that provide…
