Yesterday, Square Enix hosted a special presentation called Square Enix Presents in which the company announced multiple new game projects coming in the future. We received some news about Marvel’s Avengers, Outriders, Final Fantasy, NieR, and others, however, the highlight of the show was a new Life is Strange game – Life Is Strange: True Colors which is set to be released this September.

Here’s the official announcement trailer:

The game’s description states that Life Is Strange: True Colors will be a new standalone title that will tell a brand new story set in a new location and will introduce an entirely new set of characters.

“Alex Chen has long suppressed her ‘curse’: the supernatural ability to experience, absorb and manipulate the strong emotions of others, which she sees as blazing, colored auras.

When her brother dies in a so-called accident, Alex must embrace her volatile power to find the truth – and uncover the dark secrets buried by a small town.”

Life Is Strange: True Colors is being developed by Deck Nine that previously worked on Life Is Strange: Before the Storm game. However, the new game will feature a different format. Instead of releasing game episodes in a staggered fashion, Life Is Strange: True Colors will be released in its entirety. All 5 game chapters will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia on September 10th.

It’s still a long wait, so to pass the time we suggest checking out previous Life is Strange games. We have some great deals for the original game and its sequel. be sure to check it out.

If you’re interested in other Square Enix’s games and have an hour to spare we suggest watching Square Enix Presents in its entirety. You can find it in the video below.
