Apparently, John Wick will get its own video game. However, it’s not what you might expect. It’s not a shooter. Not even close. Instead, the developer Bithell Games, known for their work with Volume, Subsurface Circular, and Thomas Was Alone, decided to put John Wick into a strategy genre.

The developers describe John Wick Hex as a fast-paced, action-oriented strategy game that makes you think and strike like John Wick. In fact, the gameplay is very reminiscent of other turn-based tactical combat games such as XCOM. You will have to plan your movement, conserve ammo and use the environment to your advantage. John Wick Hex also features a very distinct and colorful graphic design.

Bithell Games also say that the game will have a new story, expanding upon the story featured in the movies. Additionally, the new game features a lot of actors from the motion picture. According to developers, characters will be voiced by Ian McShane and Lance Reddick. More actors should be announced soon and we sure hope that John Wick Hex will be able to get Keanu Reeves to voice the protagonist.

Currently, there is no official release date for the game but we might expect it to launch soon enough. John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum movie is debuting in movie theaters on May 17th, so the game shouldn’t be far off. John Wick Hex will launch exclusively on Epic Games store for PC and Mac, while console players will get the game at a later date.
