Last weekend we got a chance to witness the grand finale of League of Legends Worlds 2020. The 10th season of League of Legends culminated with a match between Korean squad DAMWON Gaming and Chinese team Suning. In a best-of-5 series, DAMWON came out on top, clinching the title with a final result of 3-1.

In case you missed this series, you should know that DAMWON won it quite easy. While Suning managed to snag Game 2 thanks to an amazing Fiora play, it seemed like DAMWON was always in control. Even if you’re not into League of Legends, we suggest watching the opening ceremony of the event because, as usual, it was spectacular:

Riot Games also released a separate video marking the best moments of the whole competition:

DAMWON Gaming is the first team from Korea to win it all in 3 years. The last time the Korean team lifted a trophy was back in 2017 when Samsung Galaxy defeated three-time world champion SK Telecom T1 in a 3-0 sweep.

As for the numbers of the event, it was quite huge online. According to Esports Charts, League of Legends Worlds 2020 Grand Finals stream peaked at 3.8 million viewers. The series had an average of over 2.6 million viewers with 14 million hours watched, making it the second most popular League of Legends event in the history of the game.

Congratulations to all the fans of DAMWON Gaming!
