Older gamers might remember Turtle Rock Studios by their famous game Left 4 Dead. The game became a major hit for Valve and even received a sequel – Left 4 Dead 2, which was released back in 2009. The decade has passed and while players have seen some hints about the third game in the series, nothing official has been revealed by Valve as of yet. Yesterday Turtle Rock Studios decided to break the silence and announced another new IP called Back 4 Blood.

According to the announcement, Back 4 Blood will be released by working together with another major publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The new title is said to share some similarities to the famous Left 4 Dead. The developer told that Back 4 Blood will be a co-op zombie shooter (surprise!) which will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and possibly, on the next generation of consoles.

However, besides the information above, not many other details were shared about the new project. The only thing confirmed by Turtle Rock is that the studio staff for the upcoming game is growing by a considerable amount.

It’s also worth mentioning that between Left 4 Dead 2 and the announcement of Back 4 Blood, Turtle Rock was working with another co-op title called Evolve. Though while the game was praised by critics, Evolve failed to impress the gamers, so the support for the game was cut. Let’s just hope that this time Turtle Rock Studios will hit the mark and their new game won’t end its life cycle prematurely.
