Platinum Games studio is known for many critically acclaimed titles. Older gaming fans might remember that almost 10 years ago the studio released two awesome games for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 called Bayonetta and Vanquish. Apparently, both games will get a rerun soon. As new Microsoft Store listing suggests – the remastered versions will be coming to consoles next February.

According to a new listing, Bayonetta and Vanquish will be released separately and together, as a 10th Anniversary Bundle. Store’s description states that both games will feature 4K visuals running at 60FPS on Xbox One X and should launch on February 18th. However, there’s no official word about the possible releases for PC or PlayStation 4, but with The Game Awards 2019 fast approaching we have high hopes for this to happen.

In case you need a refresher about these titles here’s a couple of short descriptions:

Bayonetta

Bayonetta is an action-adventure hack and slash video game published by SEGA in 2009, which received a lot of praise upon its release. It sold fairly well, so the developers created a sequel in 2014 and now are hard at work developing the third installment in the series. In a game, the player assumes control of a shapeshifting witch named Bayonetta. The player uses various awesome attacks and combos against angelic enemies. Prepare to fight them off in a smooth and stylish manner!

Vanquish

Vanquish came a bit later, in 2010, but used many of the same elements as Bayonetta. It is an action third-person shooter game that wasn’t afraid to innovate the genre and introduced a lot of fresh mechanics including the fast-paced style of gameplay reminiscent of 2D shooters, beat ’em up elements, and an original sliding-boost mechanic. In Vanquish, players get to control Sam Gideon, a special agent armed with the special Augmented Reaction Suit which enables Augmented Reaction mode. Augmented Reaction mode increases your character’s reflexes, slows down the flow time and thus, allows the player to get out of sticky situations during gameplay.
