One of the biggest game announcements of The Game Awards 2020 was the follow-up to a popular survival game ARK: Survival Evolved – ARK 2. While many fans were happy about the sequel and its cast featuring Vin Diesel, many of them missed the fact that this game won’t be released on all platforms. Apparently, ARK 2 will launch exclusively for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, meaning that PlayStation players won’t be able to play this new game.

The news about the game’s exclusivity broke as Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg cleared the rumors via his Tweet:

From what we gather, ARK 2 will only be a timed exclusive and might very well get a PC version further down the line. At least, we’re hoping that’s true since Xbox’s boss Phill Spencer in the past said that every Xbox Series X game should be playable on the PC as well. Also, we should keep in mind that ARK: Survival Evolved thrived on PC, so leaving its biggest fan base in the dust wouldn’t be acceptable.

In any case, there’s a lot of time for Studio Wildcard to change their minds. The game is set to be released in 2022, so many things might change until then. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we get some additional news.
