March is coming to its end and that means another set of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Last month, Sony console owners got their chance to check out The Witness and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered for free. During April, these two titles will be replaced by The Surge and Conan Exiles.

The Surge

The Surge is an action RPG released in 2017 which is rightfully compared to the legendary Souls series. The game is designed in a similar manner, highlighting challenging and methodical encounters with the enemies. As a player, you battle enemies using an exoskeleton suite which can be customized by progressing in-game. What sets The Surge apart is its unique combat feature allowing the player to target different enemy’s body parts in order to do more damage.

What’s great about this new offering for PlayStation Plus subscribers is that the game’s developer, Deck13 Interactive, has already announced the sequel for The Surge. The sequel should be released this year, so it’s also a great way to get acquainted with the game prior to the upcoming The Surge 2 release.

Conan Exiles

During April, Sony will have something for the fans of the survival genre as well. 2018 marked the release of Conan Exiles, a game set in the world of Conan the Barbarian. Players assume the role of a character rescued by Conan and begin their journey throughout the in-.game world. Similarly to other survival games, players will be able to build, craft, and explore The Exile Lands. It’s definitely a great choice if you’re into medieval fantasy and are also looking for something to play with your friends online.

As with every month, in addition to the two free games, PlayStation Plus subscribers will also get special discounts for quite a few other games on the platform.
