A month ago, on February 4th, Respawn Entertainment unexpectedly launched their battle royale game Apex Legends. Now, one month in, the developers of the game are bragging about their new milestone – 50 million players. Reaching such numbers in a single month is pretty crazy even by today’s standards.

After the news went public, Respawn CEO Vince Zampella wrote on Twitter:

“Thank you to the 50 million players that have shown up in the first month since Apex Legends launched! You have all made this something special and there’s much more to come!”

And he didn’t lie. At the same time, Respawn Entertainment released their first-month recap video, the rumors about the new Apex Legend surfaced. One Redditor under the username of mnkymnk created an Apex Legends concept for Jack Cooper which is familiar to the fans of Titanfall 2. The concept is indeed very detailed and seems more like an actual creation rather than just a fan-made thing.

Additionally, throughout the first month of Apex Legends, creative fans weren’t the only ones that did their part. The game data miners found valid evidence for a few other characters of the game, which are likely come to the game in the near future. These include Octane, Wattson and Prophet.

However, all of these speculations about the future Apex Legends content should be taken with a grain of salt. It’s entirely possible that any current detail will be scrapped before even making it into the game. On the other hand, Apex Legends did a titanic feat by gathering 50 million players, such number is soon to grow hungry for more content. If Respawn Entertainment is serious about catching up with Fortnite, we can expect official news about the new Legends very soon.
