The new Apex Legends season has seen a lot of players returning to the game and noticing a lot of new things for the first time. However, Respawn Entertainment is trying to keep the game fresh even for those who were playing Apex Legends all this time. The latest 3.1 update gives two new major features – a limited time Duos game mode, which replaced Halloween-themed Fight or Fright, and a new Firing Range which will allow you to hone your skills without getting your ass kicked by some random player.

Duos mode is exactly what you’d expect – you and your friend can hop on separate matchmaking and try to become the last Duo standing. Similar to a Solo mode, you shouldn’t expect balanced matches, but we’re sure it’s a nice change of pace for those who got bored of a normal game mode. However, it’s worth mentioning that the mode will be available for a limited time and will close down on November 19th.

One particularly interesting and a permanent feature that came with 3.1 is the new Firing Range. There you can practice playing around with all the weapons, items and Legends without being scared of getting killed by the enemy. You’ll be able to enter this training ground solo or with your squad.

3.1 update also brings plenty of balance changes and bug fixes. If you’re interested in learning more, be sure to check out the full patch notes on the official site.
