After the initial success of Apex Legends, some players already got bored of the game since there’s only so much you can do in order to progress through the levels of the game. Some of the players already hit their level cap and moved on to other games. The developers over at Reswpawn and EA decided to make some big changes on how the player progression works and raised the player level cap from 100 to 500.

The new system should go live on December 3rd and will overhaul the general pace of leveling and rewards players get for their level-ups. According to an official blog post, XP required to hit level 100 has been reduced by approximately 5% to smooth out per level XP increases. In addition, players can now earn 199 Apex Packs by level 500 (previously 45 by level 100) which will give Apex Legends more incentive to keep on playing for some sweet loot and rewards. Here’s a list of awards per player levels:

  • Level 2 – 20: One pack every level
  • Level 22 – 300: One pack every two levels
  • Level 305 – 500: One pack every five levels
  • You will continue to earn 600 Legend Tokens per level
  • Apex Packs rewards will be retroactive

In addition to all of these rewards, there’s also a new system which will present a new type of cosmetic called Gun Charm for every 100 levels. There are 36 new Gun Charms which are also going into Apex Packs at Epic and Legendary tier, so you will be able to earn it (or purchase it via in-game shop) through your game progression.

So that’s that… The new Apex Legends season is well underway and should bring a lot of newcomers and old players back into action. While the new rewards might be a lure that brings back some of the community, the players might stay a while longer for the new map, new game modes, and a new hero. We’ll be sure to check out the new progression as soon as it goes live.
