Seems like Amazon‘s New World is cursed. The new MMORPG game was already delayed a couple of times and was set to release at the end of the summer. However, the developers decided to postpone it once again and now the game is slated for spring 2021.

The first date for the New World launch was in May 2020 but the game was delayed due to a global pandemic. gamers across the globe were hoping that the title will be released on August 25th, but that was also canceled as well.

According to the news, the decision to delay this highly anticipated MMORPG game comes after reading through player feedback form the game’s alpha test. Amazon Games Studio director Rich Lawrence said that the team wants to address the most important issues of the game and don’t want to rush things.

“We want our players to feel completely immersed in the game, and know that our studio stands for quality and lasting gameplay you can trust and that means added time to get things where we want them before we fully release.”

These words sound a bit silly since recently Amazon Game Studios rolled back the availability of its hero-shooter Crucible. The game suffered a rough launch, so the developers decided to roll back the game to a closed-beta state and gave developers some additional time to fix it.

New World is already 4 years in development, so the third delay might look strange to some. However, we should keep in mind that Amazon Game Studios completely revamped the game since its first version. We are eager to see what they managed to create during all this time… even if we will have to wait a few months more.
