Oh boy! Players of Anthem thought this day will never come… After countless delays and setbacks, Anthem has finally released a long-awaited in-game event called Cataclysm. At first, the event was set to be released in May, but after a terrible launch, BioWare and EA took some time to fix the most pressing issues of the game.

And finally, the day has come. With the latest 1.3.0 update, the developers released the first major end-game content update which expands Anthem’s lore, brings tons of new enemies to face, and expands Javelin gearing options with some cool new weapons.

The main feature of Cataclysm is the new score attack mode which pits players against time as they race to clear the newly introduced arenas set in entirely new locations. Cataclysm brings 8 different arenas in total. If you manage to perform well, you’ll be able to unlock a new seasonal currency and purchase gear from a special seasonal vendor.

However, 1.3.0 update doesn’t seem to tackle the core issues of Anthem game. Countless loading screens are still present, the game’s loot system is still weird and leveling experience is still too repetitive. On the other hand, if you have managed to look past its flaws and are still playing Anthem, Cataclysm should bring hours of fresh content for you to enjoy.

We can only hope that Cataclysm finally kicks off a new stream of updates for Anthem and revitalizes the game before BioWare and EA throw it into a ditch. If you want to give this game a shot, take a look at our offer for the title.
