There’s no denying that Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 was a huge improvement upon the first iteration of the game. And it keeps getting better! Yesterday Ubisoft revealed their plans to release a new expansion for the game called Warlords of New York. As expected, this new content update will bring us back to the setting of the first game.

The Division 2: Warlords of New York will be set 8 months after the events of Tom Clancy’s The Division game and will task players to beat Aaron Keener, one of the main villains of the previous game. He will be a chief of so-called Warlords who control their own districts of New York and the player will have to restore the balance of power. While Warlords of New York will be hosted in a familiar setting for the fans of the series, New York will look noticeably different. According to Ubisoft, natural disasters ravaged what little infrastructure was left, leaving New York in ruins.

Warlords of New York won’t just bring new story content but will take aim at the most pressing gameplay issues. Players can expect a gear system overhaul in addition to more smoother leveling experience. This also means that the new expansion will also raise the level cap to 40.

If the launch of The Division 2: Warlords of New York will be successful it should also solve some of the queue times in matchmaking. Ubisoft hopes to bring back a lot of players and attract some new ones with this huge update. The company even reduced the price of the base game in order to make the game more appealing.

Well, we had a great price for The Division 2 before it was cool and we suggest you check it out. Warlords of New York is set to be released on March 3rd so you’ll have plenty of time to catch up with the rest of the pack.
