Due to COVID-19 everything in the world stopped… Except for games of course. While the official Formula 1 2020 season has been halted and delayed indefinitely, Formula 1 fans will still get something to do. Codemasters has announced that it won’t be pushing back its annual Formula 1 game and will release it at the start of the summer. F1 2020 is now set to be released for July 10th.
According to Codemasters, the game is nearing the end of its development and if no major game-breaking bugs will be found during this testing period, the game shouldn’t suffer from any delays. In fact, the game is in its best shape in years. According to the developers, the new F1 2020 game will have a huge new mode called My Team which, for the very first time in the series, allows players to establish their own F1 teams. This means that you can create… well, I dunno… Eneba Racing Team and pit it against the likes of Ferrari, Redbull or Mercedes. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?
Another new feature in the game is a split-screen mode. Can you believe that until now F1 games didn’t feature a mode where you could race your family member or a friend playing on the same computer or console? This changes now!
Lastly, as is expected from the official Formula 1 game, it will also feature all official teams and drivers for players to play as and against. According to the news, the game will have 22 different circuits, including two new races in Hanoi and Zandvoort.
So if you’re a Formula 1 fan and are already feeling the cravings, F1 2020 game might fill that void. The game will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia.
