Short Description

MAC-10 | Ultraviolet is a CS2 SMG skin with a Solid Color finish built around black surfaces and purple accents. Its sparse design suits players who prefer clear color contrast over illustrated artwork. It comes in every listed exterior, with standard, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions available.

Description

The MAC-10 | Ultraviolet is a CS2 skin for the Terrorist-side MAC-10, combining a dark receiver with purple-painted fittings. Its appearance relies on contrasting components rather than a repeating pattern or decorative illustration. The long black magazine reinforces the dark central silhouette, while the purple grip adds a distinct accent below it. This restrained palette suits purple-themed loadouts and players who prefer straightforward weapon finishes. The underlying MAC-10 delivers rapid fire, with high recoil and limited spread accuracy as handling trade-offs. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions give buyers separate listing categories to consider. The available exteriors provide condition choices without changing the skin's basic design. Buyers can compare the version, float value and individual appearance before choosing a copy for their inventory.

History and Origin

Valve introduced the MAC-10 | Ultraviolet on July 10, 2014, alongside the eSports 2014 Summer Case. The release was part of the eSports 2014 Summer Case Skins update. Valve created the design rather than a community designer. It belongs to The eSports 2014 Summer Collection, linking the skin to that case's lineup. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the eSports 2014 Summer Case no longer drops. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened for a chance at the skin. Today, buyers can also acquire an existing copy through the Steam Community Market or a trade with another player.

Finish Style

Ultraviolet uses the Solid Color finish style, separating the MAC-10 into plain black and purple sections. Black covers the receiver and long magazine, giving the central body a dark base. Purple appears on the grip, trigger guard and barrel muzzle rather than across the entire weapon. The front mounting plate and small controls carry the same accent color. A purple outline follows the folding stock, extending the palette beyond the main body. The hanging front strap is gray and visibly woven, adding a different texture beside the painted parts. Raised horizontal ribs and small recessed fasteners remain visible on the receiver. No artwork or lettering appears in the inventory view, leaving color placement and the weapon's existing shapes to define the finish.

Float Value

The MAC-10 | Ultraviolet has a float range of 0.06 to 0.80. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are also available, so buyers should distinguish the version from the exterior condition when comparing listings.

Rarity and Popularity

MAC-10 | Ultraviolet has Mil-Spec Grade rarity. Its chance of appearing from the eSports 2014 Summer Case is 13.32%, though existing cases must now be bought rather than newly dropped. Professional players FalleN, Xyp9x and tarik are documented owners, providing a concrete ownership connection without establishing current market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Black-and-purple contrast without busy artwork

• Purple accents across distinctive weapon components

• Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir options

• Documented ownership by professional players

Price Range

The live MAC-10 | Ultraviolet CS2 skin price range is $1.69 to $167.12. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed price for any named exterior or version. Compare standard, StatTrak and Souvenir listings separately, then check exterior and float within the selected category. Inspect each copy before deciding to buy, sell or trade, rather than treating the overall range as its individual valuation.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the eSports 2014 Summer Case

Open an eSports 2014 Summer Case for a 13.32% chance of receiving this skin. The case no longer drops, but existing cases remain purchasable and usable; opening one does not guarantee an Ultraviolet.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing MAC-10 | Ultraviolet through the Steam Community Market to choose a listed copy rather than rely on a case opening. Check its exterior and whether the listing is standard, StatTrak or Souvenir before purchasing.

4. Trade with Other Players

Acquire the skin through a player-to-player trade using an agreed exchange of items. Verify the offered copy's version, exterior and float before accepting, especially when comparing it with other listings.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired case source removes new case drops, but existing cases can still produce additional skins when opened. Traders should separate standard, StatTrak and Souvenir copies, then compare exterior and float within the relevant category. Available market evidence does not establish turnover or a reliable price trend, so quick resale should not be assumed.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case source with no new drops

• Documented professional ownership

• Distinct black-and-purple design

• StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

The investment outlook is medium, supported by the retired case source, documented professional ownership and varied collecting options. The main risk is uncertain resale demand: the Mil-Spec Grade skin remains obtainable from existing cases, and ownership alone does not establish future price growth.
