About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Quality, or exterior, reflects the skin's cosmetic condition through its float value. MAC-10 | Heat spans 0.00 to 1.00 and is available in every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity is a skin's grade and relates to its case-opening odds. MAC-10 | Heat is Restricted, with a 4.0% chance from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case.

How much does MAC-10 | Heat cost?

MAC-10 | Heat ranges from $1.85 to $77.22. The bounds cover the whole skin; compare individual listings by exterior, float and version.

Which case contains MAC-10 | Heat?

MAC-10 | Heat comes from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. That case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought and opened.

What exteriors and versions does MAC-10 | Heat have?

MAC-10 | Heat comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions exist.

Is MAC-10 | Heat a good investment?

MAC-10 | Heat has a medium-to-good editorial investment rating. Its retired case supply and professional ownership support the outlook, but uncertain resale demand and continued case openings remain risks.

Short Description

MAC-10 | Heat is a CS2 SMG skin with a dark charcoal body and bright yellow-orange outlines. Its custom-painted finish gives the weapon a heated-metal appearance. The restrained panels and glowing edges suit players who prefer industrial styling over busy artwork. Standard, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions offer different buying options.

Description

MAC-10 | Heat brings a forge-inspired Custom Paint Job to the MAC-10 SMG in CS2. The weapon belongs to the Terrorist side and combines a high firing rate with difficult spread accuracy and recoil. Its finish contrasts broad charcoal surfaces with warm accents around the weapon's outline. Yellow and orange details emphasize the receiver, muzzle, trigger guard and magazine base rather than covering every panel. A mottled surface adds texture without introducing a large illustration or graphic. The hanging front strap follows the same palette, tying it into the painted metal parts. This look suits players building a dark loadout with a controlled splash of bright color. Buyers can compare exterior, float value and version to choose a copy that matches their preferences.

History and Origin

MAC-10 | Heat arrived on February 20, 2014, with the Operation Phoenix update. Its release was tied to the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. Steam Workshop community designer joop created the finish. The skin belongs to The Phoenix Collection, which also determines its collection-based trade-up route. Today, existing copies can be purchased on the Steam Community Market or acquired through player trades. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. The Operation Phoenix Weapon Case consequently no longer drops, separating its original release from its current supply situation. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened for a chance at the skin.

Finish Style

The Custom Paint Job gives the weapon the appearance of metal still carrying heat from a forge. Dark charcoal gray covers most of the receiver, barrel, grip and long magazine. A mottled texture breaks up those surfaces while keeping the broad panels visually restrained. Bright yellow and orange lines follow the receiver edges and circle the muzzle rim. Matching accents pick out the trigger guard, grip and magazine base. Small fittings and circular details receive warm highlights, extending the heated-metal effect into the hardware. The hanging front strap is gray, with pale orange and yellow edging connecting it to the rest of the design. Concentrating the brightest color around outlines gives the finish its identity without filling the panels with elaborate artwork.

Float Value

MAC-10 | Heat has a float range of 0.00 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, covering the full set of exterior labels. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist, but version type is separate from the float value that identifies a copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MAC-10 | Heat is a Restricted skin in the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. Its stated chance from that case is 4.0%, or about 1 in 25 drops. Professional players FalleN, Snax and NEO own the skin.

Why it’s Popular:

• Heated-metal styling with bright yellow and orange outlines

• Dark panels keep the design visually restrained

• All exterior categories offer condition choices

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions broaden collecting options

Price Range

The live MAC-10 | Heat CS2 skin price range is $1.85 to $77.22. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed exterior or version. Compare the actual float value alongside the exterior label when assessing individual listings, rather than treating every copy within an exterior as identical. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir copies are separate buying options, so match the version when comparing offers to buy, sell or trade.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case

Open the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case for a 4.0% chance at MAC-10 | Heat. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract using 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Phoenix Collection produces 1 Restricted skin from that collection. MAC-10 | Heat is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing MAC-10 | Heat directly through the Steam Community Market rather than relying on a random case result. Check the listing's exterior and version, then compare its float where available.

5. Trade with Other Players

Acquire MAC-10 | Heat by trading with another player who owns a copy. Before agreeing to the exchange, verify the exact skin, exterior, float and whether the offered version is standard, StatTrak or Souvenir.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired case drop pool limits replenishment of Operation Phoenix Weapon Cases, although opening existing stock can still introduce additional skins. Professional ownership provides visibility, but it does not establish current demand or resale speed. Compare like-for-like versions and floats before setting a buy, sell or trade price.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Origin case no longer receives new drops

• Supported ownership by professional players

• Distinctive heated-metal finish

• StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-good, supported by the retired case supply, professional ownership and multiple collectible versions. The main risk is uncertain resale demand while existing cases can still add skin supply. Those factors support a measured holding case, not an expectation of guaranteed appreciation.
