MAC-10 | Light Box

MAC-10 | Light Box is a CS2 skin for the Terrorist-side SMG, with a Gunsmith finish that creates an illusion of internal machinery. Its dark receiver combines a recessed-looking panel with purple bars, silver lines, and small white highlights. The restrained palette suits dark loadouts with purple accents and players who favor mechanical detail. All exteriors from Factory New through Battle-Scarred are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

MAC-10 | Light Box gives the Terrorist-side SMG a dark, mechanical appearance in CS2. The weapon combines a rapid firing rate with substantial recoil and limited spread accuracy. Its custom-painted finish suggests a view inside the rear of the weapon rather than a conventional solid outer casing. The detailed receiver draws attention while the barrel, trigger guard, and rear stock hardware remain mostly black. An angular purple line across the textured grip extends the accent color beyond the main body. This approach suits players who want selective bright details without a fully colorful weapon. Buyers can choose between standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions according to their collection preferences. When comparing copies, the exterior, exact float value, and pictured finish provide useful details beyond the skin name alone.

History and Origin

MAC-10 | Light Box was released in CS2 on February 6, 2024. It arrived with the Kilowatt Case as part of the First Actual CS2 Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer Anbu created the finish, giving the skin a named designer behind its mechanical appearance. It belongs to The Kilowatt Collection, which identifies its collection origin separately from its rarity grade. As of October 9, 2026, the Kilowatt Case was in the Weekly Care Package's weekly drop pool. This ongoing case supply means newly opened copies can continue entering the market rather than availability depending entirely on existing inventories. Today, acquisition routes include opening the Kilowatt Case, buying a specific market listing, and trading with another player.

Finish Style

The Gunsmith finish builds its mechanical illusion around a mostly black and dark gray receiver. A recessed-looking panel suggests components sitting behind the outer casing, creating the impression of depth within the weapon. Thin silver lines, small white highlights, and bright purple bars run along the receiver's upper side. The grip carries a dark diagonal texture crossed by an angular purple line. A bright silver strip follows the grip's front edge, providing a contrasting border against the darker surface. The long magazine stays dark gray, with pale metallic highlights adding detail without changing the overall palette. The barrel, trigger guard, and rear stock hardware are mostly black, keeping attention on the painted receiver. A gray hanging strap with faint purple edging completes the restrained design and carries its accent color onto another visible component.

Float Value

MAC-10 | Light Box has a float range of 0.00 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so none of these exterior categories is excluded. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are also available, but version type is separate from the cosmetic condition described by float and exterior.

Rarity and Popularity

MAC-10 | Light Box has Mil-Spec Grade rarity. Its stated chance from the Kilowatt Case is 11.42%, although opening a case does not guarantee this particular skin. Professional players GuardiaN, olofmeister, and s1mple have owned it, providing an ownership connection without establishing how strong current resale demand is.

Why it’s Popular:

• Recessed-looking receiver creates a distinctive mechanical illusion

• Purple accents complement the restrained black and gray palette

• All exterior categories provide condition choices

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions offer additional collecting options

Price Range

The live MAC-10 | Light Box price range is $0.04 to $4.48. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a fixed exterior or version. Its CS2 skin price varies across available conditions and versions, so individual listings deserve closer comparison than the overall range alone. Check the exact float value, exterior, and pictured appearance when comparing standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir copies. For a buy, sell, or trade decision, compare matching versions and conditions rather than treating every Light Box listing as interchangeable.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Kilowatt Case

Open the Kilowatt Case for a chance to receive MAC-10 | Light Box, with a stated chance of 11.42%. As of October 9, 2026, the case was in the weekly drop pool through the Weekly Care Package. Opening remains a chance-based route rather than a way to select a particular exterior or float.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

MAC-10 | Light Box can be bought through the Steam Community Market by choosing an existing listing instead of relying on a case result. Check the listing's exterior, version, and any available float details before purchasing the copy intended for a loadout or collection.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trading with another player provides a route to acquire an existing MAC-10 | Light Box directly. Confirm the skin name, exterior, exact float value, and version before agreeing to the exchange, especially when comparing otherwise similar-looking copies.

Trading and Investment Considerations

New copies continue entering through Kilowatt Case openings, so the skin does not have a fixed-supply argument for short-term trading. Professional ownership supports its visibility, but does not establish current resale demand or a reliable price trend. Buyers and sellers should compare exact floats, exteriors, and versions, particularly when deciding whether a standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir copy fits their trading goals.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Distinctive mechanical design with restrained purple accents

• Ownership by established professional players

• StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

• Accessible price level for a playable SMG skin

The investment rating is medium-to-poor, reflecting its accessible price level and continued supply through the Kilowatt Case. Its distinctive finish and professional ownership support its appeal as a play skin, but price-history evidence does not establish an appreciation trend. Continued supply is the main risk, since professional ownership alone does not show that resale demand will outpace new copies.
