About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Quality determines the skin's exterior condition through its float value, while StatTrak and Souvenir labels indicate separate version choices. Malachite spans Factory New through Battle-Scarred; StatTrak and Souvenir version labels are separate from condition.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity is the skin's grade, distinct from exterior condition. Malachite is Restricted, with a stated 4.0% chance from the Chroma Case.

How much does MAC-10 | Malachite cost?

MAC-10 | Malachite ranges from $1.49 to $65.00. Compare the exterior, exact float and version of individual listings.

What is the float range of MAC-10 | Malachite?

MAC-10 | Malachite ranges from 0.00 to 0.50 and comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Which case contains MAC-10 | Malachite?

MAC-10 | Malachite is in the Chroma Case. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought and opened.

Does MAC-10 | Malachite have StatTrak™ or Souvenir versions?

Yes, MAC-10 | Malachite has both StatTrak and Souvenir versions. Compare the version separately from exterior and float when choosing a listing.

Short Description

MAC-10 | Malachite is a CS2 SMG skin with metallic teal and turquoise waves across its receiver. Darker green bands and mostly plain gray components suit players building a cool-colored loadout. It comes in Factory New through Battle-Scarred, with regular, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions available.

Description

MAC-10 | Malachite is a CS2 skin for the Terrorist-side MAC-10 SMG. Its painted receiver combines bright metallic colors with an irregular, layered wave pattern. Gray components around the painted body give the finish a clear focal point. The underlying weapon combines a high rate of fire with substantial recoil and poor spread accuracy. This look suits players who want colorful metalwork rather than a fully patterned weapon. Its exterior options span Factory New through Battle-Scarred, allowing buyers to compare different conditions. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions offer separate choices alongside the exterior selection. When comparing listings, inspect the pictured receiver and check the exact float rather than relying on the exterior label alone.

History and Origin

MAC-10 | Malachite was released on January 8, 2015, alongside the Chroma Case. Its introduction formed part of the Chroma Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer Nannou created the finish. The skin belongs to The Chroma Collection, which also provides its collection-based trade-up route. The Chroma Case no longer drops following Valve's retirement of the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, so that acquisition route remains available. Trade Up Contracts offer another route through eligible Mil-Spec Grade skins from the collection. Today, buyers can also obtain an existing copy through marketplace purchases or player-to-player trades instead of pursuing a random result.

Finish Style

Malachite uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style to create a metallic, multicolor treatment. Metallic-effect paints provide the sheen, while a rubber comb creates the wavy design. Teal and turquoise cover the receiver, giving the weapon its main block of color. Darker green bands cross that surface diagonally instead of following straight, uniform lines. The stripes form irregular layers, with bright highlights tracing portions of their edges. The short barrel, trigger guard, rear frame and small fittings stay dark or muted metallic gray. A gray grip and long gray magazine leave the receiver as the patterned focal point. The pale beige woven strap near the front adds a contrasting fabric detail beside the painted body.

Float Value

MAC-10 | Malachite has a float range of 0.00 to 0.50. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of those exterior categories is excluded. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions are available, with version choice separate from the exterior condition and exact float value.

Rarity and Popularity

MAC-10 | Malachite has the Restricted rarity grade and belongs to The Chroma Collection. Its stated chance from a Chroma Case opening is 4.0%, though obtaining this specific finish remains a random result. Documented professional owners include tarik, Skadoodle and Xizt, establishing ownership without proving current market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Metallic teal and turquoise give the receiver a distinctive color palette

• Layered waves add detail without covering every component

• Plain gray parts balance the bright painted body

• StatTrak and Souvenir options suit different collecting preferences

Price Range

The MAC-10 | Malachite CS2 skin price ranges from $1.49 to $65.00. These live bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed price for a particular exterior or version. Compare the exterior label alongside the exact float when evaluating an individual listing. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir offers should also be compared separately rather than treated as interchangeable purchases. Before buying or selling, inspect the pictured finish and compare otherwise similar listings to judge the available asking prices.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Chroma Case

Open a Chroma Case for a chance at this Restricted finish, with a stated chance of 4.0%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract using 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Chroma Collection produces 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Malachite is a possible result, but selection among the collection's Restricted skins is random.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy MAC-10 | Malachite on the Steam Community Market to choose an existing copy rather than pursue a random result. Compare the exterior, exact float and listed version before selecting an offer.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades offer another route to an existing Malachite through an agreed item exchange. Check the skin's exterior, float and version against the trade offer before accepting it.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired Chroma Case drops limit new case supply, but existing cases and trade-ups still provide routes to additional skins. Professional ownership adds visibility, yet it does not establish current demand, listing depth or a price trend. For a buy, sell or trade decision, compare matching exteriors and versions rather than relying on the skin's overall price range.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new Chroma Case drops

• Distinctive metallic teal and turquoise finish

• StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

• Documented professional player ownership

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by retired case drops, distinctive styling and documented professional ownership. The main risk is additional skin supply from existing cases and trade-ups without clear evidence of sustained demand.
