Short Description

MAC-10 | Button Masher is a CS2 skin for the MAC-10 submachine gun, styled around gamepad controls beneath a clear-looking casing. Its pale receiver combines dark red panels, buttons, and a black directional pad. The controller-inspired artwork suits gaming-themed loadouts with a detailed focal point. All exteriors are available, alongside standard, StatTrak™, and Souvenir versions.

Description

MAC-10 | Button Masher gives the Terrorist-side MAC-10 a controller-inspired appearance in CS2. Its Custom Paint Job turns the box-shaped receiver into a surface filled with gaming controls. The translucent-looking treatment creates the impression that dark red panels and buttons sit beneath an outer shell. Dark lower components keep the dense receiver artwork visually separate from the grip and front strap. The underlying SMG combines a high rate of fire with substantial recoil and limited spread accuracy. This finish suits players who prefer playful hardware references over a plain weapon color scheme. Buyers can choose among every exterior and the available standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions. When selecting a copy, the listing image, exact float value, and version label help distinguish its appearance and item type.

History and Origin

MAC-10 | Button Masher was released on May 3, 2021, alongside the Snakebite Case. Its introduction formed part of the Snakebite Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer LEFTY created the finish, giving the weapon its controller-based visual concept. The skin belongs to The Snakebite Collection, which also determines its collection-specific Trade Up Contract route. The Snakebite Case remains its case-opening source, connecting present-day openings to that original release. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Snakebite Case drops. As of October 9, 2026, existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened despite that retirement. Current acquisition also includes buying the finished skin, trading with another player, or receiving it through an eligible Trade Up Contract.

Finish Style

The Custom Paint Job imitates gamepad controls beneath a clear-looking outer casing. Across the receiver, off-white paint blends with smoky, translucent-looking areas that suggest layered hardware. Dark red panels show through this treatment, adding color behind the controls rather than covering the whole weapon. Two long dark horizontal bars stretch along the upper side of the receiver. Below them, a row of small buttons and markings creates a densely detailed strip. A black cross-shaped directional pad sits near the rear, surrounded by small round buttons. The barrel, trigger guard, grip, and hanging front strap remain dark gray or black. The gray magazine carries pale rectangular labels and dark lettering, extending the hardware theme onto a separate component. Pale receiver edges frame the busy artwork, while the plainer lower parts give the button graphics room to stand out.

Float Value

The MAC-10 | Button Masher float range runs from 0.00 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with none of those condition categories excluded. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions are available, and version choice is separate from the skin's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MAC-10 | Button Masher has the Restricted rarity grade. Its chance from a Snakebite Case opening is 3.2%, so opening a case does not ensure this particular result. Professional players allu, tarik, and Pimp have owned the skin, providing concrete ownership examples without establishing broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Controller-inspired artwork gives the receiver a distinct gaming theme

• Smoky pale paint contrasts with dark red panels and black controls

• Every exterior is available for different condition preferences

• Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions offer varied collecting options

Price Range

The live MAC-10 | Button Masher price range is $0.29 to $10.00. Its budget-level pricing makes it an accessible option for a controller-themed SMG loadout. Compare individual listings by exterior and exact float value rather than treating either bound as a quote for a particular variant. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir copies should be evaluated as separate versions when comparing CS2 skin prices. Before choosing a listing, check its image and item details so the offered condition matches the intended purchase.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Snakebite Case

Opening the Snakebite Case can produce MAC-10 | Button Masher, with a 3.2% chance of receiving it. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. This remains a random acquisition route rather than a way to select the finish directly.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract using 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Snakebite Collection produces 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Button Masher is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

MAC-10 | Button Masher can be bought on the Steam Community Market as a finished skin rather than through a random case opening. Check the exterior and version label before purchasing, especially when comparing standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir listings.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades offer another route to obtain the finished skin by exchanging items with another owner. Review the offered copy's exterior, float value, and version before accepting, rather than relying on the finish name alone.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The Snakebite Case no longer receives fresh drops, but Trade Up Contracts remain a route for creating this Restricted skin. Professional ownership provides visibility, yet does not establish strong resale demand or a rising price trend. When buying, selling, or trading, compare exterior, float, and standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir versions separately.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case origin limits fresh case supply

• Distinctive controller-inspired artwork

• Ownership by recognized professional players

• Accessible pricing for a themed loadout

• Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir collecting options

MAC-10 | Button Masher has a medium investment outlook, supported by its retired case origin, accessible pricing, and professional ownership. Continued Trade Up Contract availability means skin supply can still expand even without fresh Snakebite Case drops. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, since ownership alone does not demonstrate sustained buying interest or future price growth.
