Short Description

MAC-10 | Classic Crate is a CS2 skin for the Terrorist-side SMG, styled after green metal crates from de_dust2. Olive panels, yellow-and-black hazard stripes, and a khaki strap give it a utilitarian appearance. The look suits industrial loadouts and players who appreciate map-inspired details over bright artwork. It comes in every exterior, with regular, StatTrak™, and Souvenir versions available.

Description

The MAC-10 | Classic Crate applies a Gunsmith finish to the compact CS2 SMG, giving its boxy receiver a painted metal-crate identity. Its inspiration comes from the green crates originally found on de_dust2, making the design directly connected to the map's scenery. Raised rectangular panels and dark outlines emphasize the receiver's shape instead of covering it with a large illustration. Yellow-and-black warning stripes introduce a contrasting accent along the lower edge of the olive body. A pale strap marked with a red X adds a separate focal point near the front of the weapon. The dark grip and gray metal components keep the rest of the palette restrained and functional. This combination suits players building an industrial loadout or looking for a map reference carried through the weapon's details. Buyers can compare exterior condition, exact float value, and version rather than choosing solely from the finish name.

History and Origin

MAC-10 | Classic Crate was released on October 18, 2019, alongside the CS20 Case. Its arrival formed part of the CS20 Case Skins update, establishing the case as its original opening route. Kai, a Steam Workshop community designer, created the finish. The skin belongs to The CS20 Collection. Its visual origin is the green metal crates from de_dust2, translated into a hand-painted treatment for the MAC-10. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the CS20 Case no longer drops. Existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened, so that retirement did not remove the opening route. Today, players can also obtain an existing copy through the Steam Community Market or a trade with another player.

Finish Style

The Gunsmith finish centers on hand-painted crate details, using an industrial palette rather than a colorful graphic composition. Muted olive green covers the receiver, where raised rectangular panels sit within dark borders that reinforce the metal-crate resemblance. A diagonal yellow-and-black hazard band follows the receiver's lower edge, breaking up the large green surface. The muzzle, trigger guard, and rear stock frame are dark gray, giving the surrounding hardware a consistent supporting color. A long light gray magazine creates another clear contrast beneath the body. The grip has a dark grid texture interrupted by an olive rectangular patch. A smaller yellow-and-black striped section appears at the bottom of the grip, echoing the receiver's warning markings. At the front, a pale khaki strap carries a red X that stands apart from the surrounding greens and grays. Together, these details give the finish a practical, crate-like character with recognizable accents distributed across several weapon parts.

Float Value

The MAC-10 | Classic Crate float value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with none of these exterior categories excluded. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are also available, but version choice is separate from the cosmetic condition identified by float and exterior.

Rarity and Popularity

MAC-10 | Classic Crate has Mil-Spec Grade rarity within The CS20 Collection. Its chance of appearing from a CS20 Case opening is 11.42%, which describes the opening outcome rather than guaranteed acquisition. Documented professional owners include RUBINO, Spiidi, and XANTARES, although ownership alone does not establish market demand or investment performance.

Why it’s Popular:

• Green crate styling directly references de_dust2

• Hazard stripes contrast with the muted olive receiver

• Khaki strap and red X provide distinctive details

• Full exterior range with StatTrak and Souvenir options

Price Range

The live MAC-10 | Classic Crate price range is $0.11 to $7.42. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a particular exterior or version. Its low-priced market position makes it an accessible option for an industrial-themed SMG loadout. Individual listings should be compared by exterior, exact float, and whether the copy is regular, StatTrak, or Souvenir. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match those attributes before deciding which listing to buy or what value to seek when selling.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the CS20 Case

Open the CS20 Case for a chance to receive MAC-10 | Classic Crate, with an item drop chance of 11.42%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases remain available to buy on the market and open. Opening is a chance-based route rather than a way to select a particular copy.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy MAC-10 | Classic Crate through the Steam Community Market by selecting an existing listing. This route allows a buyer to choose the listed exterior and version instead of relying on a case opening. Check the item details carefully, especially when distinguishing regular copies from StatTrak or Souvenir versions.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player to obtain an existing MAC-10 | Classic Crate rather than opening its case. Inspect the offered copy's exterior, float, and version before agreeing to the exchange. Compare matching market listings when assessing the trade, since the finish name alone does not identify every attribute of the item.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired CS20 Case drops constrain new case supply, but existing cases can still produce additional Classic Crate skins through openings. The low-priced market includes several exterior and version choices, although that variety does not establish quick resale or strong demand. Future price trends remain uncertain, so compare regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir copies by exterior and exact float before buying, selling, or trading.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new CS20 Case drops

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive de_dust2 crate-inspired design

• StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by retired case drops, professional ownership, and an affordable market position. Existing cases can still produce copies, while its Mil-Spec Grade rarity and opening chance temper the scarcity argument. The main risk is buying for resale without established evidence of future demand or price growth.
