Short Description

MAC-10 | Oceanic is a CS2 SMG skin with curling blue and cyan artwork over a black receiver. Its busy upper section contrasts with mostly dark gray lower parts and a pale beige hanging strap. The look suits players building a blue-and-black loadout without covering every weapon part in bright color. All exteriors are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

MAC-10 | Oceanic gives the CS2 submachine gun an abstract blue finish built around a black base. The weapon belongs to the Terrorist side, making this a cosmetic option for that side's SMG loadout. The MAC-10 combines a high firing rate with substantial recoil and limited spread accuracy. Oceanic uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style, with overlapping artwork concentrated across the receiver rather than spread evenly over the weapon. Its cyan highlights and sweeping blue shapes suit players who prefer flowing designs to straight stripes or a single solid color. Mostly plain lower components keep the decorated body as the main visual focus when examining the skin. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions give buyers different item types to consider without changing the finish's core identity. Before choosing a copy, compare its exterior, exact float value and inspected appearance rather than relying on the Oceanic name alone.

History and Origin

MAC-10 | Oceanic was released in CS:GO on September 14, 2017, alongside the Spectrum 2 Case. Its debut came through the Spectrum 2 Case Skins update, establishing the case as its original opening route. Hollandje created the design as a Steam Workshop community designer. The skin belongs to The Spectrum 2 Collection, which identifies its collection origin separately from its weapon and rarity grade. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Spectrum 2 Case drops. As of October 9, 2026, existing cases could still be bought on the market and opened despite that retirement. Current buyers can also purchase an existing Oceanic directly through a marketplace instead of opening its original case. Player-to-player trades provide another route to copies already in circulation, so the end of case drops did not remove the skin from availability.

Finish Style

Oceanic starts with a black receiver covered in blue and cyan designs, using the Anodized Multicolored finish style. Broad curls sweep across the receiver's sides and continue onto its top, giving the upper body a layered appearance. The shapes overlap while leaving irregular black gaps, so the dark base remains an active part of the pattern. Small dark dots and short segmented lines add detail inside the larger blue areas without replacing their flowing outlines. The barrel and trigger guard are mostly dark gray, providing a quieter contrast to the receiver's dense artwork. The grip and long magazine follow that restrained treatment, keeping the lower portion largely plain. A pale beige strap hangs at the front, with a visible woven texture that contrasts with the painted body. Together, the cool-colored artwork, dark hardware and light strap give the finish distinct areas of color and texture rather than a uniform coating.

Float Value

MAC-10 | Oceanic has a float range of 0.00 to 0.60, so an individual listing's exact float is worth checking alongside its exterior label. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with none of those exterior categories missing. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist, but those version labels should be checked separately from the copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MAC-10 | Oceanic is a Mil-Spec Grade skin from The Spectrum 2 Collection. Opening a Spectrum 2 Case has an 11.42% chance of producing this skin, although that probability does not guarantee any individual opening result. Snax, mixwell and Pimp have owned Oceanic, providing documented professional ownership without establishing how much demand exists for current listings.

Why it’s Popular:

• Blue and cyan curls stand out against the black receiver

• Plain lower parts balance the busy upper artwork

• All exteriors offer choices for different cosmetic preferences

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions provide additional collecting options

Price Range

The live MAC-10 | Oceanic price range is $0.16 to $13.00, covering the skin as a whole. Its low-priced market context makes careful listing comparison relevant even for buyers seeking a modest play-skin purchase. Exterior and exact float value help distinguish individual copies, while standard and StatTrak listings should be compared with their version clearly identified. Souvenir versions exist, but their pricing should be checked separately rather than inferred from a standard or StatTrak offer. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison before buying, selling or trading, match the version and exterior, then inspect the specific copy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Spectrum 2 Case

Open a Spectrum 2 Case for an 11.42% chance of receiving MAC-10 | Oceanic. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. This route offers a chance at the skin rather than a guaranteed Oceanic purchase.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing MAC-10 | Oceanic through the Steam Community Market rather than relying on a case opening. Compare the offered exterior, float value and version before choosing a listing. A direct purchase allows the buyer to select a particular available copy instead of accepting a random case result.

4. Trade with Other Players

MAC-10 | Oceanic can also be obtained by trading with other players. Check the offered item's exterior, exact float value and whether it is standard, StatTrak or Souvenir. Judge the specific copy being exchanged rather than treating every Oceanic as equivalent.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired Spectrum 2 Case drops limit fresh case supply, but existing cases remain openable and can still produce additional Oceanic copies. Its low price level and documented professional ownership provide context, not proof of rising demand or an established resale trend. Traders should compare like-for-like exteriors and versions, with particular care when evaluating Souvenir copies separately from standard and StatTrak listings.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case drops limit fresh Spectrum 2 Case supply

• Documented ownership by Snax, mixwell and Pimp

• Distinct black, blue and cyan receiver artwork

• StatTrak and Souvenir options add collectible variety

The editorial investment rating is medium, reflecting retired case drops, a low entry price and documented professional ownership. Those features support considering Oceanic as a play skin or modest holding, but do not establish future price growth. The main risk is that existing cases can still add copies while demand and price trends remain uncertain.
