MAC-10 | Case Hardened

MAC-10 | Case Hardened is a CS2 SMG skin with a mottled metallic receiver in blue, purple, gold, bronze, and gray. Plain metal components frame the colorful body, while a pale tan strap adds another contrast. The look suits players who prefer irregular metallic patterns over uniform paint. It comes in every exterior, with regular and Souvenir versions available.

Description

MAC-10 | Case Hardened gives the Terrorist-side SMG a colorful Patina finish focused on its box-shaped receiver. The weapon pairs rapid firing with imprecise shot spread and substantial recoil. Its visual identity comes from uneven metallic color patches rather than a printed illustration or consistent solid color. Blue and purple dominate much of the rear side, while warmer gold and bronze appear toward the front and top. Mostly gray surrounding components keep the receiver as the main focal point. This balance suits players building a metallic loadout without covering every weapon part in bright color. Buyers can choose among all available exterior grades and compare the individual float value of each listing. Regular and Souvenir copies offer separate ownership options, so checking the version matters alongside cosmetic condition.

History and Origin

MAC-10 | Case Hardened was introduced in CS:GO on September 21, 2021, with the Operation Riptide update. It belongs to The 2021 Dust 2 Collection, which defines its collection identity and trade-up route. Valve created the skin rather than a community designer. Its visual concept draws on color case-hardening, using heated wood charcoal to produce coloration on metal. Souvenir availability spans 6 packages associated with the collection. These include the Stockholm 2021 Dust II Souvenir Package and Antwerp 2022 Dust II Souvenir Package. Today, eligible collection trade-ups offer a chance at a regular copy, while the relevant packages provide the Souvenir route. Marketplace purchases and player-to-player trades offer alternatives for obtaining a specific exterior and version without relying on a random result.

Finish Style

Case Hardened uses the Patina finish style to give the receiver an irregular, multicolored metallic surface. The color treatment is based on exposing metal to high temperatures with wood charcoal. Blue, purple, gold, bronze, and gray blend across the receiver in mottled patches rather than orderly stripes. Broad blue and purple areas occupy much of the rear side. Gold and bronze become more prominent toward the front and along the top. The barrel remains dark gray, creating a quieter edge beside the colorful body. The grip housing, long magazine, trigger guard, and folded wire stock are mostly plain gray metal. A pale tan woven strap hangs from the front, secured by gray metal fittings. Together, these restrained surrounding parts contrast with the busy receiver and keep the finish visually focused.

Float Value

MAC-10 | Case Hardened has a float range of 0.00 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with none of these grades missing. Regular and Souvenir versions are available; version availability is separate from exterior condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MAC-10 | Case Hardened is a Restricted skin from The 2021 Dust 2 Collection. Its chance of being obtained from that collection is 0.21%, which should not be treated as a guaranteed result from a contract or package. Professional players fer, NAF, and n0thing have owned the skin, giving it a documented presence in professional inventories.

Why it’s Popular:

• Mottled metallic colors give the receiver a distinctive identity

• Plain gray components balance the colorful body

• Every exterior grade offers a different condition choice

• Souvenir versions provide an alternative to regular copies

Price Range

The live MAC-10 | Case Hardened price range is $18.69 to $138.70. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a particular exterior or version. Exterior, individual float, and regular or Souvenir status are useful distinctions when comparing listings. For a meaningful CS2 skin price comparison, match the exterior and version before examining each copy's float and appearance. Players looking to buy, sell, or trade should compare current individual offers rather than assume every Case Hardened copy carries the same price.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open a compatible Dust II Souvenir Package for a chance at a Souvenir MAC-10 | Case Hardened. The Stockholm 2021 Dust II Souvenir Package and Antwerp 2022 Dust II Souvenir Package are supported examples. Opening a package does not guarantee this particular skin.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract using 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The 2021 Dust 2 Collection produces 1 Restricted skin from that collection. MAC-10 | Case Hardened is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy MAC-10 | Case Hardened directly on the Steam Community Market by selecting an available listing. Check its exterior, individual float, and whether it is regular or Souvenir before comparing it with other offers.

5. Trade with Other Players

Obtain the skin through a player-to-player trade instead of opening a package or attempting a contract. Confirm the offered copy's exterior, float, and version before agreeing to exchange items.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Market listings include regular and Souvenir copies across multiple exteriors, giving traders several variants to compare. Ownership by fer, NAF, and n0thing offers visibility, but it does not establish sustained buyer demand. Keep exterior, float, and version comparisons separate, and avoid treating the current price range as evidence of a future upward trend.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive multicolored metallic receiver

• Regular and Souvenir options

• Restricted collection rarity

The investment rating is medium, supported by its distinctive finish, Restricted rarity, and documented professional ownership. Listings across several exteriors and versions provide practical comparison points, but the available evidence does not establish price growth. The main risk is assuming visibility translates into lasting demand or stronger resale prices.
