Microsoft prepared a nice surprise before the holidays and shared their new list of Games With Gold coming to the Xbox consoles in January. It’s a bit earlier than expected, but we don’t mind. It’s nice to know what we’ll be getting a few weeks in advance. The list of 4 games includes Styx: Shards of Darkness, Batman: The Telltale Series, Tekken 6, and LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy.

Styx: Shards of Darkness

Styx: Shards of Darkness is a 2017s sequel to Styx: Master of Shadows which was released in 2014. It’s an interesting stealth game where you sneak through the levels and lay traps for your enemies in order to reach your goal. The game also has a multiplayer co-op feature so if you’re looking for something to play with your friend, be sure to check this one out. The game will be available from January 1st until January 31st for Xbox One players.

Batman: The Telltale Series

Another Xbox One title which will become available on January 16th is a well-known Telltale game. Fans of the studio know that like with any other Telltale game, we can expect some top-notch storytelling wrapped in a familiar adventure game formula. Batman: The Telltale Series comes with all five episodes and will be available until February 15th for all Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

Tekken 6

If by some chance you’ve lived under a rock and never got a chance to play a Tekken game, Microsoft has you covered. An iconic entry to the series, Tekken 6, will be free to Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners for a couple of weeks. The game will be available from January 1st until January 15th.

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy

Lastly, there’s something for the fans of Star Wars… and LEGO. While it’s an old 2006s game, LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy laid the foundation for all the LEGO games that came after it and created a popular action-adventure formula which is almost the same even 13 years later. The game tells a short version of the original 3 movies, so it will be a great refresher before the annual Star Wars movie marathon. You’ll be able to download it for free on your Xbox 360 and Xbox One from January 16th, until January 31st.
