Nintendo and Activision-Blizzard decided to launch yet another promotion where Switch console owners can access one of the flagship games developed by Blizzard. From October 13th until October 20th, Nintendo Switch Online members will be able to access Overwatch for free.

According to the news, this Nintendo Switch Online game trailer contains the “entire game,” so all you need to do is to set up your Nintendo Switch Online membership (we have a lot of gift cards for this purpose) and set aside 12GB of your storage space.

If you’ve never tried this Blizzard hero-shooter, it’s a perfect time to give it a chance and see if you like it. If at the end of this free-trial period you decide that you do want to have Overwatch in your games’ library, you will be able to purchase Overwatch Legendary Edition and carry over all the progress you made during this trial period.

It’s not the first time Blizzard is running a promotion to try Overwatch for free. Previously, the developers organized a bunch of free weekends on PC to accumulate hype around the game. These were quickly followed by various dev team announcements about new features, heroes, and so on. So this might indicate that Blizzard has some news to share in the near future. Who knows, we might even get some details about the long-awaited Overwatch 2.

Overwatch Legendary Edition contains five Legendary hero skins, five Epic hero skins, and five Origin hero skins, as well as a three-month Nintendo Switch Online membership redemption code.
