Another one! While it comes a bit sooner than previously expected, the third game in Halo: The Master Chief Collection is coming. Yesterday, Microsoft has announced that Halo 2: Anniversary will be released for PC on May 12th. It will be available as a part of the collection or can be purchased separately from Microsoft Store, Steam, or downloaded via Xbox Game Pass for PC.

As with all Halo: The Master Chief Collection games this one will come with some additional upgrades. Halo 2: Anniversary is the remaster of the original Halo 2 game which features reworked visuals, renewed cutscenes, and a remastered soundtrack. In addition, Halo 2: Anniversary will be available in 4K resolution and a much higher frame rate than the original release of the game in Xbox One back in 2014. PC Master Race, baby!

The previous game in the collection, Halo: Combat Evolved, was released back in March and we wrote a short piece about it. Halo 2: Anniversary release marks a halfway point for the full Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC. The remaining games in the collection are Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4. All of these titles are expected to launch until the end of the year.
