Fortnite was never more popular than now! Yesterday, Epic Games shared an interesting piece of information that details player numbers during April. According to the data, the game has over 350 million players who collectively played over 3,2 billion hours in April alone.

If you’re looking for reasons why the previous month was so successful for Fortnite you don’t need to look far. One of the biggest reasons is quarantine, of course. However, we can’t deny the genius of the in-game events. The most recent one – Travis Scott concert – set a new concurrent player record accumulating over 12,3 million players playing the game all at once.

And these numbers might be even bigger in May as Epic Games gears up towards a new set of events all in the spirit of “Party Royale”. Today and tomorrow players of Fornite will be able to participate in a concert by Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, and Dillon Francis.

Lastly, there’s a new Fortnite Chapter 2 season just around the corner. If nothing unexpected happens, Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Season 3 should kick off on June 4th.
