Ubisoft announced a new game! The legendary Far Cry series continues with the new entry called Far Cry 6. The game is scheduled for February 18th, 2021 release and will come to PC, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and next-generation consoles.

Here’s the game’s trailer:

The official description of Far Cry 6 says that the game will once again dive deep into its previous prominent themes of violence and dictatorship featuring familiar gameplay with many worthy additions. Here’s a snippet:

Welcome to Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. As dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means, with his son, Diego, dutifully at his side. Immerse in the adrenaline-filled, chaotic world of a modern-day guerrilla revolution and burn their regime to the ground.

Apparently, the game will have a lot of star power. The game’s villain Anton Castillo will be played by Giancarlo Esposito (better known for its role in the Breaking Bad series). In the opening sequence, you can also see Westworld’s Patrick Clair and hear a soundtrack made by Pedro Bronfman who previously scored a popular Netflix show called Narcos.

As for the gameplay, currently, there isn’t much to share. However, it’s safe to assume that far Cry 6 will follow the footsteps of its predecessors and will feature a mix of first-person shooting and RPG. According to the Ubisoft, the game will allow players to employ guerrilla combat, will feature a huge arsenal of unique weapons, vehicles, and animal companions that will aid you in a fight.

We can’t wait to learn more about this upcoming title. If you’re not familiar with the series, be sure to check out other Far Cry games. We recently released a new Ubisoft Games Collection featuring a few slick deals inside.
