We have some sad news for everyone who were eagerly waiting for the upcoming shooter game from Arkane Studios, Deathloop. Yesterday, the developers released a statement announcing that the game won’t be coming out in May as previously promised. Instead, the team pushed back its launch day a few months back – Deathloop is now scheduled to be released on September 14th, 2021.

In a statement, game director Dinga Bakaba and art director Sebastien Mitton said that the team is committed to quality and in order to preserve it, the team needs more time to work on Deathloop. Of course, this is due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and various issues that come with working from home.

In case you haven’t heard about Deathloop before, you should know that it’s a new first-person action game where the player is stuck in a time loop and has to escape it. Deathloop borrows some elements from other famous Arkane’s titles such as Dishonored and Prey so if you liked these games, you’ll probably want to check out this one as well.

It’s also worth mentioning that while this game is being published by Bethesda, which was acquired by Microsoft some time ago, Deathloop creators are still keeping their end of the bargain to launch the game exclusively on PlayStation 5. However, we expect it to launch on other gaming platforms in the future as it will be a timed-exclusive.
