Darksiders 2 was released back in 2012 and was praised by critics as one of the best hack and slash action games a man can get. However, time wasn’t kind for the title, so the developers re-released the game as an enhanced port in 2015 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One consoles. Now, as Nintendo Switch keeps on growing in popularity, THQ Nordic announced that the remastered version will come to Nintendo console as well.

Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition is set to be released for Nintendo Switch on September 26th. The game will get both physical and digital versions. These will include all the previously released content. Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition features The Abyssal Forge, The Demon Lord Belial, and Argul’s Tomb story DLCs, as well as various weapons and armor packs. In addition to all this content, Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition for Switch will receive a plastic surgery which will improve the game’s visuals even further.

If you’ve never played Darksiders 2, you should know that the game follows the second Horseman of the Apocalypse, Death, who embarks on a quest to save the Earth and redeem his brother’s name. While the most fun part of the game is fluid combat, Darksiders 2 also makes frequent use of interactive puzzle elements. The player is often tasked to think his/her way through a series of levers, doors, elevators, portals, and much more, all in order to traverse areas and reach the game’s objectives.

While we still wait for the Nintendo Switch release, you can already check out our deal for Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition for PC.
