Another episode of Night City Wire brought another batch of news about the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077. In the latest episode, the developers showed a couple of new trailers and talked in detail about something called Lifepath choices that will help players to immerse themselves into a story of Cyberpunk 2077.

If you wish to learn everything firsthand, be sure to check out the full stream below:

At the start of the game, you’ll be given three options to choose your character’s background – Nomad, Street Kid, or Corpo. Each of these choices will give you a lengthy version of the game’s prologue and will explain how you got into the Night City. And not only that, these options will provide you with certain connections and will change your experience while playing Cyberpunk 2077 entirely.

For example, Nomad will be an option for those who will want to feel completely alien in a huge city. According to a trailer, this version of V grew up on the outskirts of the city among other outcasts. One unfortunate accident in the family forces your character to venture into the city and find a solution to a problem.

Street Kid is pretty self-explanatory. This version of V grew up in the streets and was raised by a very different version of a family. According to CD Projekt Red. “the whole street was family” which might indicate that Street Kid V will start his journey with a lot of connections with various street thugs and dealers but will have a lot of problems with the police.

And finally, Corpo, which will be a lifepath for those who want a revenge story. In the trailer, we can assume that Corpo V, started out in a high class, but fell out of favor with an elite.

So yeah… If you want to experience Cyberpunk 2077 at its fullest – you might already plan ahead for three different playthroughs… Here’s a separate trailer of all the lifepath choices:

Another huge topic in the latest Night City Wire stream was weapons. We can’t say much about this, only that all the things we’ll get to play with are looking dope AF. The trailer revealed that there will be different types of weapons – melee, ranged, and cyberware, each with another set of options. In the presentation, we got to see ranged weapon variety that also is separated into three different trees – Power, Tech, and Smart Weapons.

For example, Power Weapons can destroy enemies and function similarly to ordinary guns that we know and love from other similar games. Tech Weapons use electromagnetic power to fire metal projectiles at a super-high-speed which can go through certain covers. Smart Weapons can track enemies in real-time and can hit enemies behind cover or running away.

However, it’s worth mentioning that CD Projekt Red also stated that the team is currently not really happy with melee combat and how it feels currently but also made a pledge to get on it and fix it as soon as possible. We hope it won’t come to yet another launch delay… Cyberpunk 2077 is set to be released on November 19th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Next-generation versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are also confirmed to be in development.
