If you’re a fan of the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (or Warzone) you’ll be pleased to know that Infinity Ward is already prepared for the start of the third season. The company confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 3 will kick off on April 8th.

As always, the new season brings a bunch of news to the game which includes an unusually big amount of bug fixes. Infinity Ward developer Joe Cecot recently did a series of responses via Twitter, replying to a lot of people who sent videos and screenshots of some weird bugs. Joe Cecot said that most of these issues will be tackled with the Season 3 update.

In addition to the plethora of bug fixes, Season 3 will also bring some cool additions that should change the dynamic of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The poster of the date announcement features a couple of details that sparked the speculation among the community.

First, there are some new faces which might mean new operators. The poster features Alex which might be remembered from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare single-player campaign. As always, the new season should also feature some new maps. A bunch of people parachuting in the background might mean that Warzone might get the new battlefield too…

In any case, so far the details about the new content are a bit vague, but having in mind that the new content will drop in just two days, we can expect full patch notes to land today or tomorrow.

Season 3 will begin on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One simultaneously.
