It shouldn’t be surprising to hear about game delays at this time of year. When many game development studios are working from home it affects the workflow and might result in some certain things taking a bit longer than expected. Such is the case with Wasteland 3…

InXile Entertainment confirmed that remote work messed up their plans and the team decided to delay the launch of a long-awaited Wasteland 3. The game was supposed to come out on May 19th but now it’s being pushed back to August 28th. This means that the studio is getting an additional 3 months to prepare for the launch of the title.

InXile’s Studio Head, Brian Fargo wrote a letter to the community stating that the team will try to make the most of the additional time they’re getting and will focus on “optimization, polishing, and refinements”. You can read the full letter here:

While the news about the delay is not our favorite thing to announce, it’s still nice to know that InXile Entertainment is working hard to make the game truly awesome. Also, we want to give some extra points to the team for not jumping into the gaming hype wagon and rushing out an unfinished game.

If you’ve never heard about Wasteland 3 and want to learn more, be sure to check out the game in our store. It will be released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
