MP9 | Storm

MP9 | Storm is a CS2 SMG skin for the Counter-Terrorist MP9, finished in muted gray-green and blue-gray colors. Solid-painted components give it a simple appearance without decorative artwork. Its understated palette suits players building a restrained, cool-colored loadout. The skin comes in every exterior, with standard and Souvenir versions available.

Description

The MP9 | Storm is a CS2 SMG skin that pairs the Counter-Terrorist weapon with subdued, storm-inspired colors. The underlying MP9 is a Swiss-manufactured polymer weapon with an ergonomic design associated with private security use. This finish emphasizes individually colored components rather than illustrations or an elaborate surface pattern. Its pale receiver and darker magazine create visual contrast while keeping the overall design restrained. Consumer Grade rarity makes it a straightforward collection choice for buyers who prioritize appearance over a higher rarity label. Professional owners include FalleN, Xyp9x and dupreeh, although ownership alone does not establish demand or future resale performance. Buyers can choose between standard and Souvenir copies, but there is no StatTrak™ version to consider. When comparing listings, the exterior, exact float and version help distinguish copies that share the same basic color scheme.

History and Origin

MP9 | Storm entered CS:GO on July 1, 2014. It arrived with The Overpass Collection as part of the Operation Breakout update. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. The Souvenir version connects this collection skin to Overpass tournament packages. One option is ESL One Cologne 2014 Overpass Souvenir Package. The DreamHack 2014 Overpass Souvenir Package is another supported acquisition source. In total, the finish is associated with 18 Souvenir Packages, giving collectors several package origins to consider. Today, eligible Souvenir Packages, Steam Community Market purchases and player trades provide acquisition routes distinct from its original release.

Finish Style

Storm uses the Solid Color finish style, with separate weapon components painted in a muted, weather-inspired palette. The receiver, foregrip and pistol grip share a pale gray-green color that forms the main visual foundation. A muted blue-gray covers the long magazine and skeletal stock, separating those parts from the lighter body. The short muzzle introduces a darker olive-gray accent without adding a bright focal point. Dark areas remain around the trigger, small controls and receiver fittings, breaking up the larger painted surfaces. Ribbing on the grips adds visible texture despite the absence of a decorative pattern. Horizontal receiver grooves and recessed magazine panels provide further detail through the weapon's physical construction. With no visible artwork, the finish relies on component placement, subdued color contrast and surface shapes for its character.

Float Value

MP9 | Storm has a float range of 0.06 to 0.80. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so no exterior tier is missing. Standard and Souvenir versions are available; version availability is separate from a copy's float and cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MP9 | Storm belongs to the Consumer Grade rarity tier within The Overpass Collection. Its stated acquisition chance within that collection is 16.01%, which should not be treated as a verified chance for every Souvenir Package. Standard and Souvenir copies share the Storm finish, so buyers should distinguish version availability from rarity and exterior.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted colors suit restrained gray and green loadouts

• Solid-painted components keep the design uncluttered

• Every exterior offers flexibility when choosing a copy

• Souvenir versions add tournament-linked collecting options

• Documented ownership includes FalleN, Xyp9x and dupreeh

Price Range

The live MP9 | Storm price range is $0.19 to $79.99. These bounds cover the entire skin rather than a fixed exterior or version. Individual listings can differ by exterior, float value and whether the item is a Souvenir copy. Compare exterior categories separately, and check the exact float instead of relying only on the condition label. Before buying, selling or trading, assess the specific listing rather than treating the overall CS2 skin price range as a valuation for every copy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

MP9 | Storm can be obtained by opening an eligible Overpass Souvenir Package. Supported sources include ESL One Cologne 2014 Overpass Souvenir Package and DreamHack 2014 Overpass Souvenir Package. Opening a package offers a chance at the skin, not a guaranteed MP9 | Storm.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market provides a direct purchase route for MP9 | Storm. Compare the listed exterior and whether the item is a standard or Souvenir version before choosing. Buying an existing copy avoids relying on a package opening to obtain this particular finish.

4. Trade with Other Players

MP9 | Storm can also be acquired through trades with other players. Check the offered item's exterior, float and Souvenir status rather than valuing it from the name alone. Trading allows selection of an existing copy instead of pursuing a random package result.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Standard and Souvenir listings offer choices for buyers, but available prices do not establish how quickly either version sells. The modest price level supports an accessible purchase, while documented professional ownership provides limited evidence of player interest. For a trade, compare like-for-like exteriors and versions; supply growth, transaction speed and future price direction remain uncertain.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Accessible entry cost for buyers

• Documented professional ownership

• Established Overpass Collection provenance

• Souvenir options with tournament-linked origins

• Restrained design suited to muted loadouts

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by accessible pricing, documented professional ownership and Souvenir collecting options. These features give the skin reasons to attract buyers, but they do not demonstrate price momentum. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, so its collection history should not be mistaken for evidence of future returns.
