MP9 | Music Box

MP9 | Music Box is a CS2 skin for the Counter-Terrorist SMG, featuring gold damask ornamentation over a dark body. Curling leaves and floral shapes cover the receiver and grips, contrasting with the plain magazine and skeletal stock. The look suits players who favor intricate decoration and metallic accents. It comes in every exterior, with regular and Souvenir versions available but no StatTrak™ option.

Description

MP9 | Music Box gives the Counter-Terrorist MP9 an ornate finish built around dark surfaces and gold detailing. The underlying weapon is a Swiss-manufactured polymer SMG with an ergonomic design, while the decoration emphasizes its receiver and grips. Its Anodized Multicolored finish combines curling foliage with floral shapes rather than a simple solid-color treatment. The largely undecorated magazine and skeletal stock keep the patterned body as the main visual focus. This contrast suits players seeking a detailed weapon finish with a restrained color palette. Its exterior selection covers Factory New through Battle-Scarred, allowing buyers to choose among all available condition categories. Regular and Souvenir copies offer different collecting options without changing the Music Box finish itself. Before choosing a listing, buyers should compare the exact float, exterior, and version instead of treating every copy as interchangeable.

History and Origin

MP9 | Music Box was introduced on September 21, 2021, as part of The 2021 Mirage Collection. Its debut accompanied the Operation Riptide update. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. Today, regular copies can be obtained through trade-up contracts using eligible skins from that collection. The Souvenir version is included in 8 Souvenir Packages, providing a separate acquisition route from collection trade-ups. Examples include the Stockholm 2021 Mirage Souvenir Package and the Antwerp 2022 Mirage Souvenir Package. Existing copies can also be purchased on the Steam Community Market or acquired through player-to-player trades, separate from the skin's original release.

Finish Style

Music Box uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style to present its decorative gold-and-dark color scheme. The receiver has a dark brown-to-black base that gives the brighter ornamentation a distinct backdrop. Dense curling leaves and floral shapes form a damask design across the body, giving it a richly patterned appearance. The decoration continues onto both the pistol grip and vertical foregrip, connecting the weapon's central surfaces visually. Brighter gold highlights along the grip edges add definition around those patterned areas. The long magazine remains mostly dark gray, with a bright metallic strip running along its left side. The muzzle, trigger, and skeletal stock are also largely plain dark gray rather than covered in matching foliage. This division creates a clear contrast between the busy decorated body and the cleaner surrounding components.

Float Value

The float value of MP9 | Music Box ranges from 0.00 to 0.55. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with none of those categories missing. Regular and Souvenir versions are available, but there is no StatTrak version; version availability is separate from exterior condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MP9 | Music Box belongs to the Mil-Spec Grade rarity tier within The 2021 Mirage Collection. Its stated acquisition chance from that collection is 0.8%, which should not be treated as the odds for a trade-up contract. Documented professional owners include flusha, fer, and HooXi, providing ownership context without establishing current market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Dense gold damask decoration across the receiver and grips

• Dark, unpatterned components balance the ornate body

• Every exterior is available

• Souvenir options for Mirage-focused collections

Price Range

The live MP9 | Music Box price range is $1.62 to $40.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, rather than fixed prices for particular exteriors or versions. Exact float values are worth checking within an exterior, since the condition label does not identify an individual copy's float. Regular and Souvenir listings should be compared separately because they represent different versions of the finish. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match the exterior and version before deciding to buy, sell, or trade.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open a Mirage Souvenir Package containing MP9 | Music Box for a chance at its Souvenir version. Supported examples include the Stockholm 2021 Mirage Souvenir Package and the Antwerp 2022 Mirage Souvenir Package. Opening either package does not guarantee this particular skin.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A contract using 10 Industrial Grade skins from The 2021 Mirage Collection produces 1 Mil-Spec Grade skin from that collection. Music Box is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Mil-Spec Grade skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing copy on the Steam Community Market when its exterior and version match the intended purchase. This route allows selection of a listed item instead of relying on a random package or trade-up result.

5. Trade with Other Players

Players can obtain MP9 | Music Box through player-to-player trades involving an existing copy. Before accepting an offer, confirm the item name and check its exterior, float value, and regular or Souvenir version.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Souvenir copies are listed across several exteriors, while collection trade-ups provide another route to regular copies. Professional ownership offers visibility, but it does not establish sustained buying demand or a dependable resale timeline. Supply contraction and price trends are unconfirmed, so traders should compare versions and floats rather than assume scarcity or predictable growth.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Distinctive gold damask finish

• Accessible entry price

• Documented professional ownership

• Souvenir versions from Mirage packages

The investment rating is medium, supported by an accessible price level, distinctive decoration, and documented professional ownership. The main risk is uncertain resale demand and price direction, while available listings and acquisition routes do not establish a scarcity-driven investment case.
