MP9 | Broken Record

MP9 | Broken Record is a CS2 skin for the Counter-Terrorist MP9 SMG, built around a vinyl-record theme. Charcoal grooves and a muted gold circular label give the weapon a restrained, music-inspired appearance. The look suits players who prefer dark equipment with small decorative accents. It supports every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, with standard, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions available.

Description

MP9 | Broken Record gives the Counter-Terrorist SMG a custom finish inspired by the surface of a vinyl record. The underlying Swiss-made weapon uses polymer construction and an ergonomic design. Its artwork belongs to the Gunsmith finish style, with the receiver carrying the main decorative treatment. Charcoal black and muted gold establish a subdued palette without removing the weapon's visual detail. The record grooves provide texture, while the circular label gives the design a clear focal point. This combination suits dark loadouts and players who prefer subtle decoration over bright color coverage. Buyers have a broad choice of cosmetic conditions, alongside standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions. When choosing a copy, the useful distinctions are its exterior, exact float value and version rather than the finish name alone.

History and Origin

MP9 | Broken Record was released on September 16, 2025, as part of the Genesis Skins update. The Sealed Genesis Terminal was the release item associated with its introduction. Steam Workshop community designer Des created the skin. It belongs to The Genesis Collection, establishing its collection identity separately from the weapon and finish names. The artwork takes its central idea from a vinyl record, reflected in both the title and the receiver's grooved surface. Today, the Steam Community Market provides a direct purchase route for an existing copy. Player-to-player trading offers another way to obtain the skin, distinct from the terminal associated with its original release.

Finish Style

The Gunsmith finish centers on a charcoal-black receiver covered in tightly spaced, record-like grooves. These lines run across its side, creating the defining texture of the vinyl theme. A muted gold circular label sits near the rear, with dark markings breaking up its surface. Small gold text and accents appear elsewhere on the body without overwhelming the dark base. The barrel, foregrip, pistol grip and long magazine remain mostly black. Bright highlights follow their ridges and edges, adding definition to the weapon's separate components. The thin black stock carries small gold markings near its rear end, extending the accent color beyond the receiver. Overall, the design relies on the contrast between grooves, a circular label and restrained gold details rather than broad blocks of color.

Float Value

The MP9 | Broken Record float value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions are supported; version identifies the item type, while float and exterior describe its cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MP9 | Broken Record has Mil-Spec Grade rarity and belongs to The Genesis Collection. Its stated Sealed Genesis Terminal outcome probability is 11.45%. The skin is owned by professional players daps, tenzki and sinnopsyy.

Why it’s Popular:

• Every exterior is available

• Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir options suit different collecting preferences

Price Range

The live MP9 | Broken Record price range is $0.06 to $100.00. Its low price level makes it an accessible cosmetic for buyers working with a limited budget. Exact float values distinguish copies within an exterior, while standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions should be compared separately. The displayed bounds cover the whole skin, not a specific exterior or version. Before buying, selling or trading, compare like-for-like listings by exterior, float value and version rather than treating the range as an individual quote.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market provides a direct way to buy MP9 | Broken Record by selecting an available listing. Check the exterior and version carefully, then compare the float value where it is displayed before choosing a copy.

3. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading provides a route to exchange other items for MP9 | Broken Record. Confirm the full item name, exterior, float and version before accepting an offer. Use comparable listings to judge the exchange rather than assuming every copy has the same value.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The low price level limits the initial purchase cost, but neither a supply trend nor consistent resale demand is established. Professional ownership adds visibility without demonstrating how readily a listed copy will sell. For practical comparisons, keep standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions separate and check the exterior and float of each item.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Distinctive vinyl-inspired Gunsmith artwork

• Ownership by named professional players

• Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

• Association with The Genesis Collection

The investment rating is medium, supported by its low price level, professional ownership and range of collectible versions. Those features provide reasons to consider the skin, but they do not establish a growth trend. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, so an inexpensive purchase should not be mistaken for likely returns.
