Short Description

MP9 | Deadly Poison is a CS2 skin for the Counter-Terrorist MP9 SMG, featuring dark gray surfaces and vivid lime-green artwork. Angular streaks and a stylized spider give the finish its distinctive appearance. The look suits players building a green-accented loadout without covering every weapon surface in bright color. All exteriors are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

MP9 | Deadly Poison gives the Counter-Terrorist SMG a dark base with sharply contrasting green graphics in CS2. The weapon itself is manufactured in Switzerland and uses an ergonomic polymer design. Its Custom Paint Job concentrates much of the artwork around the receiver and grips rather than spreading equal detail across every part. Angular markings create a jagged visual rhythm along the body, while the spider provides a separate focal point on the pistol grip. Small green lettering adds detail to the receiver and magazine without replacing the main geometric pattern. The relatively plain skeletal stock balances the busier surfaces toward the front of the weapon. This finish suits players who prefer a dark loadout with a clearly defined accent color and recognizable graphic motif. Buyers can compare exterior, exact float value and standard, StatTrak or Souvenir versions when choosing a copy for play or trade.

History and Origin

MP9 | Deadly Poison was released on January 8, 2015, alongside the Chroma Case. Its arrival formed part of the Chroma Case Skins update. The finish was created by red, a Steam Workshop community designer. It belongs to The Chroma Collection, linking the weapon's collection identity to its original case release. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Chroma Case drops. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, so retirement did not remove the case-opening route. Today, buyers can also obtain an existing copy directly through the Steam Community Market rather than relying on an opening. Player-to-player trades provide another route to ownership, separate from the skin's historical introduction through the case.

Finish Style

The Custom Paint Job uses a mainly dark gray foundation across the receiver, barrel, magazine and skeletal stock. Vivid lime-green streaks cross the receiver in angular shapes that contrast with the underlying metal-colored surfaces. The front grip carries a denser arrangement of bright slashes, broken up by intersecting dark lines. A stylized green spider appears on the side of the pistol grip, giving the design a recognizable creature motif. Small MP9 lettering sits on the receiver, while additional green lettering runs vertically along the magazine. Visible gray scuffs and fine linear texture add surface detail to the pictured finish. The stock remains comparatively plain, keeping the busiest artwork concentrated around the grips and central body. Together, the dark base, sharp graphics and spider create an aggressive visual character without relying on a fully bright weapon.

Float Value

MP9 | Deadly Poison has an exact float range of 0.00 to 1.00, covering the full range listed for this finish. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior missing. StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions also exist; these are version choices to compare separately from the copy's float value and cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MP9 | Deadly Poison is a Mil-Spec Grade skin from The Chroma Collection. Its stated opening chance from the Chroma Case is 15.98%, which describes the case route rather than direct purchases. Documented professional owners include tarik, Pimp and JW, providing concrete ownership examples without establishing how strong future market demand will be.

Why it’s Popular:

• Lime-green graphics stand out against the dark gray base

• Stylized spider artwork gives the pistol grip a distinct focal point

• Every exterior offers a choice of cosmetic condition

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions broaden the available options

Price Range

The live MP9 | Deadly Poison price range is $0.30 to $32.59. These bounds cover the whole skin, rather than a fixed exterior or version. Exterior and version differences matter when comparing listings, so standard, StatTrak and Souvenir copies should not be treated as interchangeable purchases. Check the exact float value alongside the exterior label to understand which individual copy is being offered. Eneba Skins lets buyers compare the CS2 skin price with those item details before deciding which listing fits their loadout or trading plans.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Chroma Case

Open a Chroma Case for a chance to obtain MP9 | Deadly Poison. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened. This route does not guarantee the skin, with its stated opening chance at 15.98%.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy MP9 | Deadly Poison directly from a listing on the Steam Community Market. Compare the listed exterior and version before choosing an offer. Direct purchase targets the item being sold instead of leaving the result to a Chroma Case opening.

4. Trade with Other Players

MP9 | Deadly Poison can also be obtained through a trade with another player. Inspect the offered copy's exterior, float value and version before accepting the exchange. This route depends on finding a player willing to trade the particular copy that matches the intended purchase.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The Chroma Case no longer receives new drops, although cases already in circulation can still add copies of this skin when opened. The available pricing distinguishes several exteriors and StatTrak versions, making like-for-like comparisons important when preparing to buy, sell or trade. Long-term demand and price direction remain uncertain, so retired case status alone should not be treated as evidence of future appreciation.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case source limits new case supply

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive lime-green spider artwork

• Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir options

The investment rating is medium, reflecting a retired case source, accessible pricing and documented professional ownership. Mil-Spec Grade rarity and the 15.98% opening chance temper the scarcity argument. The main risk is uncertain future demand while unopened Chroma Cases can continue adding skin supply.
