About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Quality describes the skin's exterior condition, which is tied to its float value. MP9 | Goo spans 0.00 to 0.60 and supports every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity identifies a skin's item grade and relates to its acquisition odds, not its cosmetic condition. MP9 | Goo is Restricted, with a 3.2% chance from a Spectrum 2 Case opening.

How much does MP9 | Goo cost?

MP9 | Goo ranges from $0.84 to $5.67. The range covers the whole skin; compare individual listings by exterior, float and version.

What exteriors are available for MP9 | Goo?

Does MP9 | Goo have StatTrak and Souvenir versions?

Yes, MP9 | Goo has StatTrak and Souvenir versions. Version and exterior are separate listing details, so check each before buying.

Short Description

MP9 | Goo is a Counter-Terrorist SMG skin in CS2, featuring a gray base covered by irregular, tar-like black shapes. Its restrained palette suits monochrome loadouts, while the busy receiver adds visual texture. Factory New through Battle-Scarred exteriors are available, along with StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

MP9 | Goo gives the Counter-Terrorist MP9 a Custom Paint Job built around the appearance of dark liquid covering a lighter surface. The underlying weapon is a Swiss-manufactured SMG with an ergonomic design and polymer construction. Black shapes interrupt the light gray receiver, creating an uneven coating rather than a uniform painted panel. Thin trailing lines and pale highlights give the finish detail without introducing bright colors. The gray-and-black palette suits players who prefer a subdued weapon with a textured focal point. Darker grips, magazine and stock keep the receiver central to the overall appearance. Buyers can choose an exterior and a standard, StatTrak or Souvenir version to match their preferences. For a specific copy, inspecting its image and float value provides more useful detail than relying on the finish name alone.

History and Origin

MP9 | Goo was released on September 14, 2017, alongside the Spectrum 2 Case. Its introduction accompanied the "Spectrum 2 Case Skins" update. Steam Workshop community designer Graff created the finish, establishing its community-designed origin. The skin belongs to The Spectrum 2 Collection, which also determines its matching collection-based trade-up route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the Spectrum 2 Case no longer drops. Existing cases can still be purchased and opened, preserving the original acquisition route despite that retirement. Trade Up Contracts offer another route using matching Mil-Spec Grade skins, although the Restricted result is random. Finished copies can also be purchased on the Steam Community Market or acquired through trades with other players.

Finish Style

The Goo finish uses a Custom Paint Job to suggest a tar-like substance spread across a gray foundation. On the receiver, irregular black shapes interrupt the light gray surface instead of following a neat geometric arrangement. Thin lines trail away from the heavier dark patches, adding finer detail around the coating. Rounded gray areas remain exposed, while pale highlights give portions of the black material a glossy appearance. The foregrip and pistol grip are mostly dark gray, with ribbed sections and scattered lighter streaks. The magazine and muzzle are largely dark, leaving those parts visually quieter than the receiver. The skeletal stock follows that darker treatment, with pale marks visible along its upper bars. Overall, the design concentrates its busiest pattern on the receiver and balances it with subdued lower parts and stock.

Float Value

MP9 | Goo has a float range of 0.00 to 0.60. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of those exterior categories is excluded. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are available, but those version labels are separate from an individual copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MP9 | Goo is a Restricted SMG skin from The Spectrum 2 Collection. A Spectrum 2 Case opening has a 3.2% chance of yielding this skin, without guaranteeing the result of an individual opening. Professional owners include tarik, electronic and SunPayus, although ownership alone does not establish current market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Gray-and-black palette suits monochrome loadouts

• Glossy-looking goo gives the receiver distinctive texture

• Quieter grips and stock balance the busy receiver

• Broad exterior choice with StatTrak and Souvenir options

Price Range

The live MP9 | Goo price range is $0.84 to $5.67. These bounds cover the whole skin, rather than serving as fixed quotes for particular exteriors or versions. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, check each listing's exterior, float value and version. The float provides detail within an exterior category, while standard, StatTrak and Souvenir copies should remain distinct when comparing listings. Before deciding to buy, sell or trade, inspect the selected copy rather than treating the overall range as its valuation.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Spectrum 2 Case

Opening a Spectrum 2 Case offers a 3.2% chance of receiving MP9 | Goo. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can use 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Spectrum 2 Collection to produce 1 Restricted skin from that collection. MP9 | Goo is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

MP9 | Goo can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a random case or contract result. Compare the exterior, float and version of the actual listing before selecting a copy.

5. Trade with Other Players

MP9 | Goo can also be acquired through a trade with another player. Check the offered copy's exterior, float and version so the trade matches the intended item.

Trading and Investment Considerations

No new Spectrum 2 Cases drop, but existing cases and trade-ups still allow additional copies of this skin to enter circulation. Professional ownership is documented, yet sustained buyer demand and an established price trend remain uncertain. When buying, selling or trading, compare matching exterior and version listings and inspect the actual float.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source case with no new drops

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive tar-like Custom Paint Job

• Broad exterior and version selection

The investment rating is medium, reflecting a modest price level, retired case supply and documented professional ownership. Those factors support consideration as a hold, rather than establishing likely price growth. The main risk is uncertain ongoing demand while existing cases and trade-ups can still add skin supply.
