MP9 | Food Chain

MP9 | Food Chain is a CS2 SMG skin covered in brightly colored cartoon monsters. Its overlapping creatures, bold outlines and contrasting weapon parts suit players who prefer busy, illustrated finishes. It comes in every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, with StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions also available.

Description

MP9 | Food Chain gives the Counter-Terrorist MP9 a colorful Custom Paint Job in CS2. The artwork depicts a monster food chain, using exaggerated eyes, teeth and overlapping creatures to establish its theme. Bright painted areas contrast with exposed dark gray metal around the weapon's functional details. The design extends beyond the receiver onto the magazine, front grip and stock, making it a coordinated finish across several surfaces. Underneath the artwork is the Swiss-manufactured MP9, an ergonomic SMG built around a polymer body. Its flavor text reinforces the survival theme running through the monster illustrations. The look suits players who want a cartoon-heavy weapon with strong color contrasts rather than a restrained palette. Buyers can compare exterior condition, float value and available versions while inspecting how the artwork appears on an individual copy.

History and Origin

MP9 | Food Chain was released in CS:GO on May 3, 2021, alongside the Snakebite Case. Its debut formed part of the Snakebite Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer chipAs created the finish, giving the item a documented community origin. The skin belongs to The Snakebite Collection, which also determines its collection-based trade-up route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Snakebite Case drops. Existing cases remain available to buy on the market and open, so that original acquisition route remains usable despite the retirement. Today, players can also obtain the skin through qualifying Trade Up Contracts, direct market purchases or exchanges with other players.

Finish Style

The Custom Paint Job transforms the MP9 into a crowded cartoon scene built around a monster food chain. Green, orange, red, blue and purple figures cover the receiver, with black outlines and small contrasting marks separating the overlapping shapes. An elongated green creature runs through the center of the artwork. Beside it, an orange monster draws attention through a large blue eye and pointed teeth. Orange creature artwork continues onto the magazine above a dark lower section. The front grip combines turquoise, red, yellow and purple blocks with additional creature details. Red stock rails lead into a purple-pink end piece, extending the palette toward the rear. Dark gray metal remains visible around the muzzle, top rail and trigger area, providing visual breaks between the densely painted sections.

Float Value

MP9 | Food Chain has a float range of 0.00 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with none of those exterior categories excluded. StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions also exist, but version availability is separate from a copy's float value and cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MP9 | Food Chain is a Classified skin from The Snakebite Collection. Its stated chance of appearing from a Snakebite Case is 1.07%, making a case opening an uncertain way to obtain this particular finish. Professional players coldzera, s1mple and TaZ have owned it, although those ownership examples do not establish current buying demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Bright cartoon monsters give the MP9 a distinctive illustrated identity

• Artwork extends across the receiver, magazine, grip and stock

• Full exterior coverage offers different cosmetic condition choices

• StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions broaden collecting options

Price Range

The live MP9 | Food Chain price range is $2.43 to $38.42. These bounds cover the skin as a whole, not a fixed exterior or version. Exterior condition, exact float value and the choice of standard, StatTrak™ or Souvenir versions help distinguish individual listings. Compare those details together when checking the CS2 skin price, rather than treating every Food Chain copy as interchangeable. Inspect the item image as well, so the chosen listing matches the buyer's preferred condition and appearance.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Snakebite Case

Opening a Snakebite Case can produce MP9 | Food Chain, with a stated chance of 1.07%. No new Snakebite Cases drop following the rare drop pool's retirement, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. This route offers a chance at the skin rather than a guaranteed result.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can exchange 10 Restricted skins from The Snakebite Collection for 1 Classified skin from that collection. Food Chain is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Classified skins. Buyers should distinguish this contract route from the separate Snakebite Case opening odds.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Players can buy MP9 | Food Chain directly through the Steam Community Market instead of pursuing a random case or contract result. Check each listing's exterior and version before choosing a copy. Compare its available item details with other listings to avoid evaluating the finish by name alone.

5. Trade with Other Players

MP9 | Food Chain can also be obtained by trading with other players. Check the offered item's exterior, float value and version before agreeing to an exchange. When trading an existing copy, use those same characteristics to compare the items involved.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Snakebite Case supply receives no new drops, but existing case openings and qualifying trade-ups can still introduce Food Chain copies. Players looking to buy, sell or trade should compare the exterior, float and version rather than assume all copies have equal market appeal. Future demand and price direction remain uncertain, so retired case supply alone does not establish a profitable resale opportunity.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired Snakebite Case supply

• Documented professional player ownership

• Distinctive monster artwork across multiple weapon parts

• StatTrak™ and Souvenir collecting options

The editorial investment rating for MP9 | Food Chain is medium. Retired case supply and documented professional ownership support its collecting appeal, but they do not establish a reliable price trend. The main risk is uncertain resale demand while existing cases and trade-ups remain routes for creating additional copies.
