MP7 | Gunsmoke

MP7 | Gunsmoke is a CS2 SMG skin with a cream base and intricate brown and gray doodles. Its patterned receiver and grips contrast with mostly solid brown components. The subdued palette suits players who prefer detailed linework over bright colors. Regular and Souvenir versions are available across every exterior, with no StatTrak™ option.

Description

MP7 | Gunsmoke gives this CS2 SMG a pen-doodle design applied through a Hydrographic finish. The underlying weapon is a German-made MP7 intended for close-range combat. Cream-colored surfaces carry fine brown and gray markings, creating detail without a bright accent color. The receiver, pistol grip and vertical foregrip form the patterned center of the design. Mostly brown surrounding components provide a quieter frame for that dense artwork. Its look suits cream-and-brown loadouts or players who favor an illustrated finish rather than a plain coating. Buyers can choose between regular and Souvenir copies while keeping the same underlying Gunsmoke design. Comparing the exterior, exact float value and version helps distinguish listings before a purchase or trade.

History and Origin

MP7 | Gunsmoke entered CS:GO on July 1, 2014, through the Operation Breakout update. It belongs to The Overpass Collection, which defines its collection identity and trade-up route. Valve created the skin rather than a community designer. Its visual concept draws on gel-pen doodling, translated into a Hydrographic treatment for the MP7. Today, existing copies can be purchased on the Steam Community Market or acquired through player trades. The Souvenir version is associated with 18 Souvenir packages. The DreamHack 2014 Overpass Souvenir Package is an example of that Souvenir route. Trade-up contracts using eligible Consumer Grade skins from The Overpass Collection offer another route, although Gunsmoke is not a guaranteed result.

Finish Style

The Hydrographic finish turns hand-drawn doodling into a dense pattern across the weapon's main surfaces. A cream base covers the receiver, pistol grip and vertical foregrip. Fine brown and gray lines cross those areas in curls, spirals, loops and angular forms. The combination gives the artwork an intricate, irregular rhythm rather than a simple repeating stripe. The magazine and rear stock section are mostly solid brown, providing contrast with the busy body. Brown sights and the side rail continue that restrained treatment around the patterned areas. The short exposed barrel has a mottled appearance combining dark gray and cream. Together, these details create a muted finish whose visual interest comes from linework and contrasting surface treatments.

Float Value

MP7 | Gunsmoke has a float range of 0.06 to 0.80. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior categories is missing. Regular and Souvenir versions exist, but there is no StatTrak version; version availability is separate from a copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MP7 | Gunsmoke is an Industrial Grade skin from The Overpass Collection. Its collection selection chance is 4.0%, about 1 in 25 outcomes, which should not be treated as its trade-up probability. Professional players Happy, apEX and adreN have owned the skin, although ownership alone does not establish broad buying demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Intricate doodle artwork across the receiver and grips

• Muted cream, brown and gray palette

• Patterned surfaces contrasted with plain brown components

• Regular and Souvenir versions across all exteriors

Price Range

The live MP7 | Gunsmoke price range is $0.66 to $50.71. Its modest price level makes it an accessible option for players interested in the finish. Compare each listing's exterior and exact float value rather than assuming copies in the same category are identical. Regular and Souvenir versions should be assessed separately, without treating either live bound as a fixed price for a named variant. When planning to buy, sell or trade, use matching versions and comparable floats to make the comparison useful.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open an eligible Overpass Souvenir Package for a chance to receive the Souvenir version. The DreamHack 2014 Overpass Souvenir Package is one eligible option. Opening a package does not allow the buyer to select Gunsmoke as the result.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A contract using 10 Consumer Grade skins from The Overpass Collection produces 1 Industrial Grade skin from that collection. Gunsmoke is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Industrial Grade skins. Compare the cost of the inputs with buying an existing copy before committing to the contract.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Search for MP7 | Gunsmoke on the Steam Community Market to buy an existing copy. Check the exterior and whether the listing is for a regular or Souvenir version. Selecting a specific listing avoids the random item outcome involved in package openings and trade-up contracts.

5. Trade with Other Players

MP7 | Gunsmoke can also be acquired through trades with other players. Check the offered copy's float value, exterior and regular or Souvenir status before accepting. Compare the exact item being offered, rather than valuing it solely by the finish name.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Regular and Souvenir versions give traders distinct categories to compare, with exterior and float adding further differences between copies. Professional ownership provides some visibility, but sustained demand, listing volume and supply trends remain uncertain. The modest entry price is useful for a play skin, yet it does not establish a strong short-term resale opportunity.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Souvenir availability adds a separate collecting option

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive doodle artwork and restrained colors

• Established history within The Overpass Collection

The investment rating is medium-to-poor, reflecting a modest price level but limited evidence of sustained demand or supply contraction. Souvenir availability and professional ownership support collecting interest rather than a clear investment case. The main risk is expecting price growth without an established trend or dependable resale demand.
