MP7 | Armor Core

The MP7 | Armor Core is a CS2 SMG skin with black paint, brushed stainless steel details, and restrained metallic contrasts. Silver outlines and dark gray components give the weapon a precise, industrial appearance without large artwork. Its understated look suits players building black, gray, or metallic loadouts. All exterior grades are available, alongside regular, StatTrak™, and Souvenir versions.

Description

The MP7 | Armor Core brings a black-and-silver finish to a German-made SMG designed for close-range combat in CS2. Armor Core uses the Patina finish style, combining painted surfaces with brushed metallic details. The mostly black receiver, barrel, and upper rail establish its dark base. Pale silver components break up that base around the front assembly and rear stock plate. Angular outlines give the rear receiver definition without introducing bright colors or large illustrations. The design suits players who prefer equipment-like finishes over decorative artwork. Buyers can choose between regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir copies according to their preferred version. Comparing exterior and exact float value helps distinguish individual listings when selecting a playing skin or preparing a trade.

History and Origin

MP7 | Armor Core was released on April 15, 2015. It arrived through the Chroma 2 Case in the "Chroma 2 Case Skins" update. The skin belongs to The Chroma 2 Collection. Ezikyl, a Steam Workshop community designer, created the finish. Its accompanying flavor text connects sophistication with firepower and attributes that perspective to Booth, Arms Dealer. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Chroma 2 Case drops. Existing cases remain available to buy and open, so the historic release route is still usable despite that retirement. Today, finished copies can also be bought on the Steam Community Market or obtained through player-to-player trades.

Finish Style

Armor Core's Patina finish combines black oil-based paint with brushed stainless steel components and inset detailing. The receiver, barrel, and upper rail are predominantly black, keeping the upper weapon visually restrained. Subtle horizontal brushing adds texture along the receiver rather than a large printed pattern. Pale silver parts frame the front of the gun and cover the rear stock plate. The magazine and folding foregrip use dark gray, creating a softer contrast with the black upper sections. Black textured panels cover the pistol grip, which has a silver-gray front edge. Thin silver outlines trace angular, segmented shapes along the rear receiver. Small circular fasteners remain visible on the sides and reinforce the mechanical appearance. Fine linework and contrasting metal surfaces define the finish instead of bright colors or oversized artwork.

Float Value

MP7 | Armor Core has a float range of 0.00 to 0.50. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior grade excluded. Regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions are available, while float and exterior describe cosmetic condition rather than version.

Rarity and Popularity

MP7 | Armor Core is a Mil-Spec Grade skin from The Chroma 2 Collection. Its supported chance from the Chroma 2 Case is 13.32%, although that case no longer drops. Known professional owners include tarik, chrisJ, and Zeus, providing documented ownership without establishing demand for any particular version.

Why it’s Popular:

• Restrained black and silver styling suits metallic loadouts

• Brushed surfaces and angular outlines add detail without large artwork

• All exterior grades offer a choice of cosmetic condition

• Regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions broaden collecting options

Price Range

The live MP7 | Armor Core price range is $0.23 to $18.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed price for any named exterior or version. Regular copies offer an accessible entry point, while the available versions should be compared individually. Check exact float alongside exterior, since the exterior label alone does not identify a copy's precise condition. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match those details before choosing which listing to buy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Chroma 2 Case

Opening the Chroma 2 Case offers a 13.32% chance of receiving MP7 | Armor Core. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. This route provides a chance at the skin rather than a selected finished copy.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

MP7 | Armor Core can be bought directly as a finished skin on the Steam Community Market. Compare the listing's exterior, float value, and regular, StatTrak, or Souvenir designation before choosing a copy.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades provide another route to an existing MP7 | Armor Core. Evaluate the offered copy's exterior, float, and version rather than relying on the item name alone. Those details also matter when preparing a copy to sell or trade later.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired Chroma 2 Case drops limit new case supply, but existing cases can still produce additional Armor Core copies. Professional ownership provides visibility, though it does not demonstrate sustained buying demand across regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir listings. Price history and resale speed are not established, so matching versions and conditions is more useful than assuming a quick flip.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new Chroma 2 Case drops

• Documented ownership by tarik, chrisJ, and Zeus

• Distinctive black paint and brushed steel detailing

• Regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir collecting options

MP7 | Armor Core receives a medium investment rating, balancing retired case supply and professional ownership against Mil-Spec Grade rarity and accessible regular copies. The main risk is that existing cases can still add skins while sustained resale demand remains uncertain. There is no established price trend supporting an expectation of appreciation.
