MP7 | Army Recon

MP7 | Army Recon is a CS2 SMG skin with a subdued, military-style camouflage finish. Olive green, tan, and reddish-brown bands cover most of the weapon, with dark fittings breaking up the painted surfaces. Its broad shapes and matte appearance suit players who prefer restrained, practical-looking loadouts. All exterior grades are available, alongside Souvenir versions, but there is no StatTrak™ option.

Description

MP7 | Army Recon brings a freehand camouflage treatment to the German-made MP7 in CS2. The weapon is an SMG designed for close-range engagements, while the skin gives it an understated military appearance. Its Spray-Paint finish relies on short, thick bands rather than lettering, illustrated characters, or decorative symbols. Muted olive, tan, and reddish-brown areas create contrast without making the overall palette bright. The camouflage extends beyond the receiver onto the grips, magazine, and rear stock section. Dark elements around the barrel and top rail provide visual separation from the painted body. This finish suits players building camouflage-focused loadouts or looking for an SMG without elaborate artwork. Buyers can compare exterior, exact float value, and regular or Souvenir status when choosing a copy for play or trade.

History and Origin

MP7 | Army Recon entered CS:GO on November 27, 2013, before becoming part of the skin selection used in CS2. It arrived with The Safehouse Collection during the DreamHack 2013 update. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer contributing it through a workshop submission. Its collection identity connects the camouflage treatment to Safehouse, while Army Recon remains the finish name on the weapon. Souvenir availability adds an event-linked version alongside the regular collection skin. The named package sources are DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package. Today, buyers can choose an existing copy through Eneba Skins or the Steam Community Market rather than relying on a package opening. Player-to-player trading is another acquisition route, separate from the skin's original release and its souvenir package origins.

Finish Style

Army Recon uses a Spray-Paint finish built around broad, freehand bands rather than detailed illustrations. The receiver carries muted olive green, tan, and reddish-brown patches that establish the camouflage palette. Soft, blurred boundaries give these contrasting areas a loose sprayed appearance instead of sharply outlined geometric edges. Short, thick bands continue across the front housing and vertical foregrip, keeping the treatment consistent along the weapon. Similar markings cover the pistol grip, magazine, and rear stock section, extending the pattern across most visible surfaces. The barrel remains dark with tan markings, while the top rail and smaller fittings retain dark gray or black areas. A subdued, matte appearance reinforces the practical character, with no visible text interrupting the camouflage. Although the finish covers much of the MP7, its broad shapes keep the design relatively uncluttered.

Float Value

MP7 | Army Recon has a float range of 0.06 to 0.80, giving buyers a broad selection of cosmetic conditions. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior categories is missing. Souvenir versions are available, with version status remaining separate from the exterior and exact float.

Rarity and Popularity

MP7 | Army Recon is a Consumer Grade skin from The Safehouse Collection. Its acquisition chance within that collection is 16.03%, a figure that should not be treated as the probability of opening it from a Souvenir Package. Professional owners include f0rest, Hyper, and ScreaM, although ownership alone does not establish how quickly a listed copy will sell.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted camouflage suits understated military-style loadouts

• Broad painted bands keep the design uncluttered

• All exterior grades offer condition choices

• Souvenir versions add event-linked collecting appeal

Price Range

The live MP7 | Army Recon CS2 skin price range is $0.01 to $111.17. These bounds cover the whole item, rather than representing a particular exterior or version. Regular copies provide a low-cost entry point, while Souvenir status is another factor to check when comparing listings. Buyers should compare the exterior and exact float within the same version instead of treating every Army Recon listing as interchangeable. An item image also helps confirm whether the specific copy matches the appearance sought for a loadout.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

A Souvenir copy can be obtained by opening DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package or EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package. These are the named package routes for Army Recon, rather than a weapon case route. Opening a package does not guarantee this skin, and the collection's 16.03% chance is not a confirmed package-specific probability.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

MP7 | Army Recon can be bought on the Steam Community Market as an existing item. Compare the exterior and whether the listing is regular or Souvenir, then check the individual copy's float before making a purchase.

4. Trade with Other Players

An existing Army Recon can also be acquired through a player-to-player trade. Check the offered item's exterior, float, and Souvenir status rather than relying only on its finish name. Trading provides a route to a specific copy without opening a package.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Regular and Souvenir copies give traders distinct versions to compare, with exterior and float adding further differences between individual listings. The low-priced regular market offers an accessible entry point, but that alone does not support a profitable short-term flip. Without an established price trend or clear supply outlook, neither professional ownership nor historical collection ties justify assuming strong resale demand.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Historic origin in The Safehouse Collection

• Souvenir versions connected to named event packages

• Ownership by f0rest, Hyper, and ScreaM

• Accessible regular copies for camouflage-focused loadouts

MP7 | Army Recon earns a medium-to-poor investment rating, despite its historical collection identity, Souvenir options, and professional ownership. Its low-cost regular versions make it practical as a play skin, but those qualities do not establish an appreciation trend. The main risk is buying without reliable evidence of future demand or supply changes, especially when paying extra for a particular copy.
