Until now, Obsidian-developed RPG game The Outer Worlds was only available through the Epic Games Store and Xbox Game Pass. However, the game’s Epic Store exclusivity is about to end, meaning that The Outer World will make its way to Steam very soon. According to the news, Steam players will be able to buy The Outer Worlds starting October 24th.

From what we gather, The Outer Worlds should come to Steam featuring a few different versions. One will be featuring only a core game, there’s also a new DLC called “Peril On Gorgon”, and a digital deluxe version that should include the original game, its DLC, and any other future updates.

If you’ve never heard about The Outer Worlds before, you should know that it’s an interesting RPG game which upon release was dubbed as “a Fallout in space”. The game was originally released in 2019 and received a lot of praise from players and critics. It even got a few big nominations and awards. Game Critics awarded The Outer Worlds as the Best Original Game, while The Game Awards nominated this title in GOTY, Best Narrative, Best Performance, and Best RPG categories.

Currently, The Outer Worlds is released for all platforms – PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. However, Obsidian is still silent about the possible transition to next-generation consoles.
