FAMAS | Styx

FAMAS | Styx is a CS2 rifle skin for the Counter-Terrorist side, combining red accents with metallic skull-and-bone artwork. Its busy bodywork contrasts with a simpler grip and silver-gray magazine. The finish suits players who prefer dark, detailed designs over a plain rifle body. All standard exteriors are available, alongside Souvenir versions.

Description

FAMAS | Styx gives the Counter-Terrorist rifle a dense, nuclear-themed design built around red tones and pale metallic surfaces. The weapon itself fills a budget role between more expensive rifles and less effective SMGs. Its skull-and-bone motifs make the body visually busy, while the simpler lower components keep the design from feeling uniform. This combination suits players who want detailed artwork without covering every weapon part in the same pattern. The skin belongs to The Cache Collection, an important distinction when considering its collection origin and acquisition routes. Buyers can compare standard and Souvenir copies across the available exterior grades. For an individual listing, the exact float value and item image are more useful together than the exterior label alone.

History and Origin

FAMAS | Styx was released on August 13, 2014, as part of The Cache Collection. Its launch accompanied the Cologne 2014 Souvenir Packages update. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. Its Souvenir versions are linked to Cache packages associated with ESL One Cologne 2014. Another example is the DreamHack 2014 Cache Souvenir Package, with 12 associated Souvenir packages in total. Today, package openings offer a route to the Souvenir version, while collection trade-ups can produce a standard copy. Direct purchases and player trades provide ways to obtain an existing item without relying on a random result.

Finish Style

Styx uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style, with a chrome base beneath a translucent hydrographic layer. That overlay carries nuclear-themed skulls and bones, mixing pale metallic areas with irregular dark red patches. Dark outlines separate the motifs, producing a dense, mottled look rather than an orderly repeating layout. The pattern covers the receiver, carry handle, barrel and stock, connecting the main weapon surfaces visually. The pistol grip and angular trigger guard are mostly glossy red, creating simpler blocks of color beneath the patterned body. A black section at the upper rear breaks up the red and metallic palette. The curved silver-gray magazine has long vertical grooves and contrasts with the surrounding skull artwork. Together, these surfaces give the rifle a detailed body and a more restrained grip and magazine.

Float Value

FAMAS | Styx has a float range of 0.00 to 0.60. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior grades are excluded. Standard and Souvenir versions exist; version availability is separate from the item's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

FAMAS | Styx has Restricted rarity within The Cache Collection. Its collection acquisition chance is 1.61%, or about 1 in 62 collection results, rather than a guaranteed outcome. Professional players Xyp9x, Happy and f0rest have owned the finish, giving it a documented presence in professional inventories.

Why it’s Popular:

• Dense skull-and-bone artwork with a red and metallic palette

• Contrasting grip and magazine keep the design visually varied

• Souvenir options tied to Cache event packages

• Documented ownership by professional players

Price Range

The live FAMAS | Styx price range is $8.08 to $222.87. Compare each listing's exterior, exact float value and standard or Souvenir version when checking the CS2 skin price. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed price for any particular exterior or edition. When buying or selling, compare matching versions and inspect the item image before treating a cheaper listing as equivalent to another copy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open an associated Cache Souvenir Package for a chance to obtain the Souvenir version of FAMAS | Styx. Associated Cache packages include editions for ESL One Cologne 2014 and DreamHack 2014.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A trade-up uses 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Cache Collection to produce a Restricted skin from that collection. The result is random among its Restricted skins, so FAMAS | Styx is possible but cannot be selected directly.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy FAMAS | Styx on the Steam Community Market by choosing a listing for the desired exterior and version. Check the item's float and Souvenir status rather than assuming every listing represents the same kind of copy.

5. Trade with Other Players

FAMAS | Styx can also be acquired through a trade with another player. Confirm the offered item's exterior, float and version before accepting, especially when comparing a standard copy with a Souvenir edition.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Standard and Souvenir copies give traders distinct versions to compare across all available exteriors. Professional ownership provides some visibility, but it does not establish current buyer demand or how quickly a listing will sell. Future supply and price direction remain uncertain, so buy, sell and trade decisions should focus on the individual item's condition and asking price.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Valve-created finish from The Cache Collection

• Souvenir editions linked to named event packages

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive red and metallic skull artwork

The investment rating is medium, supported by its collection identity, Souvenir options and documented professional ownership rather than evidence of sustained price growth. The main risk is uncertain future supply and buyer demand, making individual listing comparisons more useful than assuming the finish will appreciate.
