How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity identifies a skin's grade within its case or collection. FAMAS | Sergeant is Restricted, with a stated 4.0% chance from an Operation Phoenix Weapon Case opening.

How much does FAMAS | Sergeant cost in CS2?

FAMAS | Sergeant ranges from $1.33 to $80.00. These bounds cover the whole skin; compare individual listings by exterior, float and version.

Which exteriors are available for FAMAS | Sergeant?

Short Description

FAMAS | Sergeant is a CS2 rifle skin for the Counter-Terrorist side, combining dark charcoal surfaces with restrained military markings. Pale gray diagonal bands and muted olive-brown patches break up its satin finish. The look suits players who prefer subdued, tactical styling. It comes in Minimal Wear through Battle-Scarred, with StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions also available.

Description

FAMAS | Sergeant gives the Counter-Terrorist rifle a military-inspired appearance through a Patina finish. The weapon itself serves as a budget rifle option between more expensive rifles and SMGs. Its decoration stays understated, using charcoal, black and olive-brown rather than bright, saturated colors. Angular gray markings across the forward receiver provide a clear focal point beneath the barrel. The darker carry handle and stock balance those accents without making every part of the rifle equally busy. This finish suits a loadout built around muted colors and practical-looking equipment. Buyers can choose between standard, StatTrak and Souvenir copies according to the version they want to own. Comparing the exterior, exact float value and listing image helps narrow that choice beyond the finish name alone.

History and Origin

FAMAS | Sergeant debuted in CS:GO on February 20, 2014, alongside the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. Its introduction was part of the Operation Phoenix update. Steam Workshop community designer Coridium created the skin. It belongs to The Phoenix Collection, which also provides its collection-based trade-up route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case no longer drops. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, keeping the original case route available. Today, individual copies can also be purchased through the Steam Community Market or obtained through player-to-player trades. Trade Up Contracts provide another acquisition method using eligible Mil-Spec Grade skins from the same collection.

Finish Style

The Sergeant finish uses masking fluid to shape a military motif across patina treated to different depths. A satin seal gives the surface a restrained sheen rather than a strongly reflective appearance. Dark charcoal and black cover most of the receiver, carry handle and stock. Muted olive-brown areas interrupt that dark base along the rifle's body. Pale gray diagonal bands and angular, chevron-like markings cross the forward receiver beneath the barrel. The grip repeats the diagonal theme with alternating dark and gray stripes, while a bright silver edge outlines the trigger guard. Gray metallic surfaces remain visible on the barrel and curved magazine, including the magazine's long raised ribs. Together, these details concentrate the decoration around selected parts while leaving much of the weapon dark and uncluttered.

Float Value

FAMAS | Sergeant has a float range of 0.10 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no Factory New version. StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions also exist, so buyers should compare version availability separately from the exterior and exact float of a particular copy.

Rarity and Popularity

FAMAS | Sergeant has the Restricted rarity grade and belongs to The Phoenix Collection. Its stated chance from an Operation Phoenix Weapon Case opening is 4.0%, although obtaining a case now requires existing market supply. Documented professional owners include FalleN, Xyp9x and Happy, which establishes professional ownership without proving broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted colors suit military-themed loadouts

• Gray chevrons give the receiver a distinct focal point

• Satin styling keeps the overall appearance restrained

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions provide additional collecting options

Price Range

The live FAMAS | Sergeant price range is $1.33 to $80.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed exterior or version. Compare Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred listings separately when checking the CS2 skin price. Exact float and whether a copy is standard, StatTrak or Souvenir are useful comparison details alongside its asking price. A listing image also helps buyers assess the appearance of the actual copy before deciding which offer fits their preferences.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case

Open an existing Operation Phoenix Weapon Case for a chance to receive FAMAS | Sergeant. The skin's stated chance is 4.0%, so an opening does not guarantee this finish. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can exchange 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Phoenix Collection for 1 Restricted skin from that collection. FAMAS | Sergeant is a possible result. The outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins, so this route cannot guarantee the Sergeant finish.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an individual FAMAS | Sergeant listing on the Steam Community Market rather than relying on a random case or contract result. Check the exterior, float and version before choosing a copy. Direct purchase allows the buyer to select a listed item that matches their preferences.

5. Trade with Other Players

FAMAS | Sergeant can also be obtained through a trade with another player. Confirm the exact skin, exterior, float and whether the offered copy is standard, StatTrak or Souvenir. Evaluate the specific items involved rather than treating every Sergeant copy as interchangeable.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired case drops restrict fresh case supply, but existing case openings and collection trade-ups can still introduce additional copies. Resale demand and long-term price direction remain uncertain, so professional ownership alone should not justify a quick-flip strategy. Compare exterior, exact float and version when deciding whether to buy, sell or trade this finish.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case drops constrain fresh case supply

• Documented ownership by professional players

• StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

• Distinctive, restrained military styling

FAMAS | Sergeant receives a medium investment rating. Its retired case source, accessible price level and documented professional ownership support a measured collecting case rather than an aggressive trading thesis. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, while continued openings and trade-ups mean the skin's supply is not fixed.
