FAMAS | Faulty Wiring

FAMAS | Faulty Wiring is a CS2 rifle skin for the Counter-Terrorist side, decorated with a dense wiring-diagram pattern. Muted olive-gray surfaces and dark schematic markings give it a technical, understated appearance. The finish suits players who prefer restrained colors and detailed linework over bright artwork. Standard and Souvenir copies are available across all exteriors, but there is no StatTrak™ version.

Description

FAMAS | Faulty Wiring brings an electrical schematic theme to a Counter-Terrorist rifle in CS2. The weapon itself serves as a budget rifle option between more expensive rifles and SMGs. Its decoration uses thin connections, rectangular blocks, and small circuit-like markings rather than a large central illustration. An olive-gray base keeps the dark artwork within a restrained color palette. Patterned body panels contrast with the relatively plain grip and metallic magazine, giving the design clearly separated areas. This look suits players building a muted loadout or looking for technical detail without vivid colors. Standard and Souvenir editions offer different ownership options while retaining the same underlying finish. Buyers can compare exterior, exact float value, version, and listing price instead of treating every copy as interchangeable.

History and Origin

FAMAS | Faulty Wiring was released in CS:GO on September 21, 2021. It arrived with the Operation Riptide update as part of The 2021 Vertigo Collection. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. The original artwork centers on a wiring diagram, connecting the finish name directly to its visual theme. Its accompanying flavor text reinforces that theme with a warning about attempting electrical repairs without consulting an electrician. Souvenir editions are available through 6 packages, including the Stockholm 2021 Vertigo Souvenir Package and Antwerp 2022 Vertigo Souvenir Package. Today, players can open a compatible Souvenir Package, buy an existing copy through a marketplace, or obtain the skin through a player-to-player trade.

Finish Style

Faulty Wiring uses an Anodized Airbrushed finish to present its wiring-diagram artwork across the rifle's body. The receiver, carry handle, and patterned stock areas share a muted olive-gray base. Dark, thin lines connect rectangular blocks and small circuit-like markings, creating a dense schematic texture. The artwork continues across separate body sections rather than concentrating on a single panel. A dark-gray barrel carries lighter metallic bands near the muzzle, adding contrast outside the patterned areas. The pale-gray grip and trigger guard provide a relatively plain break from the detailed receiver. The curved magazine is silver-gray, with dark vertical grooves that give it a different visual rhythm from the wiring lines. A black upper stock section completes the contrast between the decorated body and the simpler surrounding components.

Float Value

The FAMAS | Faulty Wiring float range runs from 0.00 to 0.50, covering its available cosmetic conditions. Its exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior categories is excluded. Standard and Souvenir copies exist; version availability is separate from the cosmetic condition recorded by the float.

Rarity and Popularity

FAMAS | Faulty Wiring has Consumer Grade rarity, which matters when assessing its acquisition chances rather than its visual quality. Its collection acquisition chance is 16.0% within The 2021 Vertigo Collection. Professional ownership includes Stewie2K, NEOFRAG, and Cypher, although those examples alone do not establish broader market demand or resale activity.

Why it’s Popular:

• Dense wiring-diagram detail across the rifle's body

• Muted olive-gray colors suit restrained loadouts

• Plain metallic components contrast with patterned panels

• Souvenir options offer an alternative to standard copies

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for FAMAS | Faulty Wiring is $0.20 to $10.84. These bounds cover the whole item, not a fixed pairing of an exterior and a version. Factory New through Battle-Scarred copies provide different condition choices, while standard and Souvenir editions should be compared separately. Within an exterior, the exact float adds detail that the condition label alone cannot convey. Before buying, selling, or trading, compare matching versions and conditions across listings rather than relying only on the overall range.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

A Souvenir FAMAS | Faulty Wiring can be obtained by opening a compatible Vertigo Souvenir Package. Examples include the Stockholm 2021 Vertigo Souvenir Package and Antwerp 2022 Vertigo Souvenir Package. Opening is a chance-based route, not a way to select a specific listed copy.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

FAMAS | Faulty Wiring can be bought on the Steam Community Market instead of obtained through package opening. Compare the exterior and whether the listing is standard or Souvenir before choosing. A direct purchase targets the listed item, avoiding uncertainty about which skin a package will produce.

4. Trade with Other Players

Players can obtain the finish through player-to-player trades using items they already own. Check the offered copy's exterior, float, and standard or Souvenir status before agreeing to an exchange. Confirm the specific item being offered rather than relying on the finish name alone.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Consumer Grade rarity and availability through 6 Souvenir packages provide acquisition context, but the number of circulating copies is not established. Professional ownership offers a visibility signal, not proof of sustained buyer demand or quick resale. For practical trading comparisons, separate standard from Souvenir listings and match the exterior and float before judging an asking price.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Valve-created finish from The 2021 Vertigo Collection

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive wiring motif with restrained colors

• Souvenir versions provide additional collector choice

The investment rating is medium-to-poor: professional ownership and Souvenir options add interest, but sustained trading demand is not established. Its low price level offers an accessible entry point without demonstrating scarcity or future growth. The main risk is buying an appealing copy without enough resale demand to support the intended exit price.
