FAMAS | Hexane

FAMAS | Hexane is a CS2 rifle skin for the Counter-Terrorist side, featuring a repeating hydrographic hexagon pattern. Blue-gray panels and dark red-orange outlines give the weapon a geometric look. It suits players who prefer cool colors with warmer accents rather than a plain finish. Regular, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions are available across its supported exteriors.

Description

FAMAS | Hexane brings a patterned finish to a budget Counter-Terrorist rifle in CS2. The underlying FAMAS occupies the space between SMGs and more expensive rifles. Its Hexane finish uses hydrographic styling rather than a single uninterrupted color. Blue-gray hexagons cover much of the weapon, with dark red-orange borders defining their shapes. The design extends across the receiver, carry handle, magazine and rear stock, giving several parts a shared visual identity. A mostly solid grip provides a quieter area within the otherwise busy finish. This balance suits loadouts built around muted blue-gray colors without removing the warmer orange details. Buyers can choose between a regular copy and versions with StatTrak or Souvenir designation. Comparing the exterior, exact float and listing image helps narrow that choice to a particular copy.

History and Origin

FAMAS | Hexane debuted in CS:GO on November 8, 2013, during the Arms Deal 2 update. The CS:GO Weapon Case 2 introduced it through case openings. Valve created the skin, rather than a community designer. It belongs to The Arms Deal 2 Collection, connecting its collection identity to that release. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new drops of its source case. Existing CS:GO Weapon Case 2 containers can still be bought on the market and opened. Today, buying the skin directly on the Steam Community Market provides an alternative to opening its original case. Player-to-player trading also allows an existing copy to change hands without another case opening.

Finish Style

Hexane uses a Hydrographic finish centered on repeating hexagons rather than a large illustration. Blue-gray shapes cover the receiver and carry handle, with dark red-orange outlines separating the cells. Individual hexagons vary in shade, creating darker patches within the broader pattern. Scattered orange marks add irregular accents across the receiver and magazine. The magazine repeats the geometric treatment, carrying the design below the rifle's main body. Patterning also reaches the barrel and rear stock, while the upper stock section stays mostly plain dark blue-gray. The pistol grip and trigger guard are largely solid muted blue-gray, providing visual pauses between patterned areas. Dark recessed sections further break up the busy surface, giving the finish contrast beyond its colored outlines.

Float Value

The FAMAS | Hexane float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.40. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn, but never Battle-Scarred. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist, with those designations describing the version rather than replacing its cosmetic exterior.

Rarity and Popularity

FAMAS | Hexane is a Mil-Spec Grade skin from The Arms Deal 2 Collection. Its opening chance from the CS:GO Weapon Case 2 is 15.98%, so opening the case does not ensure this particular result. Professional owners include NEO, Skadoodle and n0thing, giving the finish a documented presence among professional players.

Why it’s Popular:

• Blue-gray hexagons with contrasting dark red-orange outlines

• Patterned surfaces balanced by a mostly plain grip

• Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir version choices

• Documented ownership by professional players

Price Range

The live FAMAS | Hexane price range is $2.16 to $23.03. These bounds cover the whole skin, rather than fixed prices for particular versions or exteriors. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, separate regular, StatTrak and Souvenir listings. Then compare exterior labels and exact floats instead of treating every copy within an exterior as identical. Check the listing image alongside those details before choosing a skin to buy or setting an asking price.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the CS:GO Weapon Case 2

Opening the CS:GO Weapon Case 2 offers a 15.98% chance of receiving FAMAS | Hexane. The case no longer drops, but existing containers remain available to buy and open. This route offers a chance at the finish, not a direct choice of the desired copy.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market offers a direct purchase route for FAMAS | Hexane without opening its case. Compare the listed exterior and version, then check the individual copy's float and appearance before selecting it.

4. Trade with Other Players

FAMAS | Hexane can also be acquired through trades with other players. Confirm the offered item's exterior, float and regular, StatTrak or Souvenir designation before agreeing to an exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

New source-case drops have ended, but openings of existing cases can still add Hexane copies to circulation. Professional ownership provides visibility without establishing buyer demand or how quickly a listing will sell. When planning to buy, sell or trade, compare matching versions and exteriors before evaluating individual floats and asking prices.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Finite stock of retired source cases

• Documented ownership by NEO, Skadoodle and n0thing

• Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

• Distinctive blue-gray and red-orange geometric finish

FAMAS | Hexane receives a medium investment rating, supported by its accessible price level, retired case source and professional ownership. The main risk is uncertain demand, while existing cases remain openable and can produce additional copies. No established price trend or trading-volume evidence supports an expectation of returns.
